Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort

Amazing hotel with enough staff team to support you when you need them. The breakfast was great. The hotel could do better with more amenities within the resort.

Lovely hotel and staff. Breakfast really good. Great location for peace and quiet but not so much if you want to go anywhere.

The hotel experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The reception girls both were polite and very helpful. The bar staff again very helpful couldn’t do enough for you . At breakfast Catherine was absolutely amazing, very efficient so approachable she was an asset to your hotel. We will be returning again .

We were greeted by two lovely receptionists, one called Sylvia and I forget the lovely young lady's name but she has only started working in Moyvalley a number of weeks ago. Very pleasant and helpful ladies. The Hotel is spotless and the food is excellent. We spoke to the lovely Cora who was more than helpful. Great staff. The Hotel is fantastic for golfers. There may not be many facilities for children except the cycling. The Hotel provides bicycles for patrons to cycle round the vast beautiful grounds. We really enjoyed our few days in Moyvalley and will be returning next month for another mini break.

We stayed in March 2024 for a family wedding. Fabulous wedding venue. The staff were very efficient and could not do enough for us. Food was lovely in both the bar and restaurant. I would Highly recommend.

Let's get the good points first: We got a very good deal with 3 course dinner and breakfast included. Grounds are lovely. We really enjoyed the cycle around the estate (bicycles available free of charge). Bed was huge and comfy. Breakfast was tasty and my steak at dinner was lovely and tender. Dessert was gorgeous also. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. The not so good. Our first room (128) had a very strong damp smell. We asked to be moved and this was facilitated and they made sure we were away from the function room as there was a wedding. I felt the room decor was dated and not luxurious. I had paid a little extra for a superior room and neither room we had felt luxurious or the quality one would expect of a 4 star. Carpet was thin and looked more fitting in an office than a hotel. Bathroom was very tired looking and there was not enough shower gel in the dispenser. No extras like body lotion etc. Big crack in the sink. Definitely needs redoing to maintain a 4 star standard. Also the lack of facilities of a spa or pool etc is a little disappointing. I realise that seems like a long list of negatives and I did enjoy my stay here but had I not got such a good deal I probably wouldn't have been as happy. Definitely has lots of potential to make is really special but falls short of other 4 stars imo

Had a lovely 2 night stay in moyvalley . The staff was so nice and couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel so welcome and looked after. Breakfast and bar food was lovely . Would recommend this hotel .

What an absolutely sensational weekend we had together with our family, it could not have been better. The organisation was top class and perfectly executed by the caring and courteous staff team. We loved every minute of it. Our meal was superb and all served nice and hot and flavoursome, with exceptionally large portions. Many many happy memories made!!

Situated in very spacious well maintained grounds. Easy check in and ample outside parking. Bathroom had a bath which very welcome. Very good buffet breakfast and omelettes were freshly prepared for us. Excellent alternative to staying in Dublin if one’s late evening journey is to the west of Ireland.
