First night room ok cramped
Service and food in restaurant v poor or average at best
Staff not organised
Veg options poor
Second night disaster with rubbish support from reception over repeated complaints about noise from next room
Reception had private mobile number of that guest so something v strange going on.
Follow up by James manager also poor
Expensive for lack of quality and service we received
Owners should be alarmed.

Just checked into this hotel and was blown away by the wonderful welcome we received from Brendan on reception. Well done 👏👏 He is fab, don't let him go!! Visiting Kilkenny for one night to go to the Watergate Teatre (Tuesdays with Morrie).

I would highly recommend the Hibernian Hotel kilkenny The location is perfect, right in the centre. Room was very comfortable, clean and warm with a great shower. Very quiet in spite of its central location. Exceptionally nice staff. We got a very good rate which was a factor in my assessment. The breakfast was nice so if a room only rate was available at a good reduction, I would opt for that as kilkenny has loads of good eateries. Parking was not included so you would have to compare prices with other hotels that had parking to ensure value for money. But, at the rate we got I would certainly go back or if you didn't bring a car because the location is so good.

Hotel has the best location to take in the old city. Entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will absolutely stay here when we come back through Kilkenny.

We have stayed in the Hibernian Hotel before and we always found it nice we had dinner there and it was lovely all the staff are very good and attentive. We always had a lovely breakfast when we stayed in the hotel but this time we did not enjoy it the scrambled eggs had water running into the rest of the breakfast which was awful and the sausages tasted as if they were not meat sausages but vegan. the other thing about staying in the Hibernian is the price of the parking for the night which we feel is too much so we don't stay there too often.

Very pleased with our stay. Great central location in Kilkenny city. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Beautiful and very spacious room looking out on to the street at the front. Brilliant and spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Great tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Wonderful breakfast.

Great place to stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They were able to guide us to some great spots around the town. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable beds. The location is perfect for discovering the town. Great overall experience.
