Cypress House Inn

great place, clean cozy rooms, delicious breakfast and the owners are so nice and welcoming. definitely would stay there again!

We feel that we stayed at the PERFECT PLACE!!! Loved the east access to the beach, the wonderful breakfast, the beautiful room and bath but most of all, Veda and Bill are great hosts!! I would recommend this Inn to everyone I know that is traveling to this area. I haven’t mentioned how fun the area is but the whole area is relaxing , has great seafood restaurants, the Wright Brothers Memorial brought to life just what the brothers went through in planning and executing the first flight; we loved seeing the lighthouses (the Bodie Island Lighthouse was our favorite) but the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was amazing as well and to know that engineers planned and had a team move this lighthouse 2,900 feet in 1999 to protect it from being washed out in the ocean was an unbelievable feet. If you are looking for a vacation where you just want to relax, this is it!! Thank you to the Cypress Inn for the nice accommodations!! Harold & Paula Cornett

An excellent choice. Veda & Bill are superb hosts, who have the right touch for guests, very helpful when needed. Breakfast were superb, and property is quiet at night. Not sure we'll have another occasion to return, but if we do this would be our #1 choice

We had a wonderful stay at Cyprus Hill Inn. Our room was very comfortable and having access to coffee early was nice. Bill and Veda are superb hosts, and the breakfasts were the highlight of our days. In a world where the hospitality industry is going virtual, Bill and Veda are going old school and doing it right and I’m all for it! Thank you!

For our first stay in OBX we chose the Cypress Inn B&B and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Bill and Veda are gracious, knowledgeable hosts. Their Inn is clean, cozy and comfortable with many areas to relax, including your room, the living and dining area and lots of outdoor space on the veranda and in the yard. It's across the street from the beach and they provide beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The breakfasts are fresh and artfully prepared by Veda and Bill and they make the effort to visit with their guests and get to know you. The B&B is centrally located close to many sights and Bill and Veda made many useful recommendations for places to eat and visit. The decor is warm and inviting and very beachy with all the rich cypress wood. Our trip to OBX was made more memorable with our stay at Cypress House . We highly recommend this location to all who want a more personal and cozy stay in OBX. Thank you Bill and Veda.

This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and had no idea where to stay but after looking at many hotels & Inns we came across this one and were very happy we did. It is a very cozy place and Veda & Bill were great hosts to all staying there. The house was originally a hunting lodge but was redone inside keeping with the history of the house. It consists of 5 very nicely done rooms with a coffee bar set up in the hallway outside the bedrooms whish you can get a fresh cup anytime you want. We had a delicious breakfast every morning made fresh when we came downstairs. There is a lovely porch where you can bring your coffee or a glass of wine and just enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the waves from the beach which is only a short walk away. The Inn provides beach chairs & towels too! If you are looking for someplace different to stay instead of a hotel this is the place to go. We definitely will go back there next time we are in that area.

Our stay at Cypress House Inn was wonderful; magical! The inn was the exact old beach house setting we wanted for a trip to the Outer Banks. House is all charm but with every modern comfort and unbeatable hospitality from Bill and Veda. Breakfasts were so delicious and served outside at individual tables. Loved the coffee bar outside our room; beach accessories provided; comfortable bed, and the location was fabulous - about halfway between our ventures north and south and steps from the beach. I highly recommend Cypress House Inn for a few days or a whole week. We hope to come back again!

Veda and Bill are great! They made us feel welcome, gave us great breakfasts in a beautiful setting, gave us ideas on sites to see and offer a comfortable Inn a block from the beach. I highly recommend them!
