Lovely lodge to stay at with great, knowledgeable guides and a relaxing a**osphere. We saw many monkeys, crocodiles and some pigmy elephants! The staff were great at accommodating us even though we were a very last minute transfer from another lodge. Would definitely recommend!

You need to realize you are staying in a basic lodge to see wilderness and the animals not a five star hotel, with that in mind this gets an excellent rating. My room was clean, bed basic and relatively comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and a liquid soap dispenser was provided (no separate shampoo). The hot water was warmish and you need to turn on the heater before use. AC was adequate and was happy to have it (I think some rooms do not have AC so be sure to ask / reserve if you want it). Food was sufficient and simple. The river cruise was great and the local guides did a super job spotting the wildlife. The night jungle walk was fun and saw more wildlife than I was expecting (thought it would be just insects but saw birds and other mammals). The staff in general was friendly and nice. Things like binoculars, mud boots and leech socks are available for rent so be prepared to pay for such things. WiFi was available for a fee and only works in a limited area (dining hall) so don't expect it to work in your room.

The lodge requires 4 hours of bus transfer with a mediocre lunch at Banana Café. The location is excellent, right on the river. From there several excursions by boat or on foot are organized. We see a lot of animals, often from afar. The guides, like all the lodge employees, are very friendly and competent. The negative comes from the lodge itself, whose small rooms are in a pitiful state compared to the price paid. They are dilapidated, smell of humidity, the bedding is used, there are no mosquito nets or wifi, the furniture has deteriorated over the years. A major renovation would be essential. The meals served as a buffet are OK but the buffet is quickly robbed if you don't arrive when it opens. The lodge welcomes large groups from other Asian countries. It is a noisy and undisciplined clientele which greatly disrupts the calm of the place. The groups share the dining room but stay in a nearby annex. The view of the river from the dining room is pleasant. In addition to accommodation with excursions with some locals, there are four other lodges on this part of the river. Surely the Bilit is not the best choice.

It combines modern comfort with the flavor of nature. The room is air-conditioned enough and has a fan. Clothes dry quickly after washing, but the water quality is yellowish. The food is very good. All-you-can-drink tea, coffee and water are available all day long, and the drinking water is clean. As for seeing wild animals, it all depends on luck. This time we saw many monkeys, proboscis monkeys, lizards, small crocodiles, and hornbills, but we did not see orangutans or pygmy elephants. And I know there were 30 pygmy elephants here in the weeks before we went, so it really depends on luck. We cruised the river at 6:00 in the morning and saw the sunrise on the boat. I photographed a lot of macaques this morning. They live freely in the forest as a family. Of course, there will be enemies in nature (so when they rest and sleep in the trees, they will always face the forest, not their backs), but Compared to monkeys in the zoo, this is life. After about an hour of river cruise, return to your accommodation for breakfast. At about nine o'clock, we went on a day forest walking tour. When we entered, we saw a clearing formed in some places. They said it was caused by a group of elephants, but I don't know if it was true or not. I believe that if the tour guide is experienced, there are many plants that can be introduced, because I have seen this trip on YouTube before.

Just stayed one night and was happy with the accommodation. Room was clean and comfortable. Meals provided were good. Staff were helpful. This place has its own jetty from which they run tours up and down the Kinabatangan River. Recommended if you are looking for something acceptable.

Excellent lodge for visiting the Kota Kinabatangan, full of proboscis monkeys, birds, toucans. The Lodge nestled next to the river welcomes travelers in search of excitement. My wife and I spent two relaxing nights at Bilit Adventure Lodge with a positive experience. We took two boat trips on the Kinabatangan river, at sunrise and sunset, which allowed us to see different species of animals: endless monkeys, monitor lizards, various birds and, with a bit of luck, crocodiles. The rooms are simple, all strictly made of wood. Small bedroom but equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Small private bathroom, but we enjoyed it. In the jungle we expected this type of accommodation. I liked the kitchen. Abundant and buffet style.

Amazing stay! Came here for just one night and had a great experience! Pygmy elephants came to our lodge at night and it was a rare occasion! The guides and wildlife depar**ent made sure the elephants did not barge into the lodge whilst not harming them. You’ll learn a lot from the locals and the guides! We had Tiffany as our guide and we loved the experience!

This was a package with trips on the River, jungle hiking and other activities, meals included and it was the best part of our trip to the Borneo Jungle. I highly recommend a stay here if you're interested in Borneo Wildlife. We saw, Pygmy Elephants, Orangutans, Proboscios Monkeys, Macaques, Hornbills, Crocodiles and lots more. We had a wonderful guide Leo and his boa**an Nelson was just the best guy. The food provided was excellent quality, nice variety but sometimes there wasn't enough. The accomodation was comfortable, had a good bed and shower and good working air conditioning. I would highly recommend a stay at Bilit for a trip to Borneo.

The location along the river is ideal! You can see animals right from the lodge. The beds were comfortable and the staff was so friendly. They did everything they could to make the stay pleasurable.
