Premier Inn Newton Abbot

The Premier Inn itself was fine, everything you expect when you book with them. The evening meal in the Beefeater was pretty poor, unremarkable & unloved. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere.

I am usually a fan of Premier Inn - you know what you are getting and it is clean. Newton Abbott was the exception. Good bed and clean towels however: Bathroom - flaking paint on ceiling, dirty around taps and soap dispensers, dirty bathroom floor - especially behind door, rusty dirty bin, mildew on grouting. All easy to fix. Bedroom - not sure when it was last vacuumed - biscuit/cake crumbs around bed and the skirting was all very dusty. On departure I let reception know all of the above. Thank you was the response. No notes appeared to be taken and no "Sorry, we will sort it".

I was welcomed by very friendly staff at reception, where check-in was quick and easy. The room was very clean and tidy, with plenty of space. The bed was spacious and comfortable, while the shower water pressure was great. Overall a good experience for a work trip.

Really helpful friendly staff. Great location quiet but near to town, shops and racecourse. Beefeater next door. Premier plus room is worth the extra expense with a mini fridge, bottled water and decent coffee.great shower. Air-conditioning in the rooms

Hugely disappointed with this Premier Inn at Newton Abbot. I chose this hotel due to the Trip Advisor reviews and wish I hadn't. We have stayed at various Premier Inns in the past and this one is very poor. Outside looks fine, and parking great, but our family room 216 needs a refurb. The bed side table had crumbs on, the room smelt musty and the bathroom was falling apart. Felt very dirty. Thank goodness we were only staying for 1 night as I would have asked for my money back and moved hotel.

Harriet on the front desk helped us out when we needed an early check in before a wedding. The Premier inn itself was everything you would expect, clean friendly, functional, with a comfy bed. Great quality for a low price.

Girlfriend was first to use the bathroom. Ended up calling out for me shothat I had to dispose of it went to reception to complain and they didn't seem interested in slightest. Then on first night sleep we wanted to use the spare pillows -they where covered in dust and smelt damp and mouldy

Beware if you have mould allergies. This building has windows that are not designed to open and the air circulation system is useless. Consequently the walls are have lots of condensation damp and the room smells. Very unhealthy. I tried to change rooms to one where you could open the window but was told that there were none and that the management knows that there are big problems with damp

Great parking, friendly reception and housekeeping staff, but the 'Plus' rooms fall short compared to other Premier Inn hotels. The room was small, with mould in the bathroom, missing mugs, and only one set of towels despite booking for two. It's the simple things that seem to be a challenge here. It just doesn’t feel value for money. My main advice: skip the breakfast and explore local options to avoid disappointment.
