Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel and Conference Center Reviews

The room is shabby. It is said to be a double bed room, but it is actually smaller than a single bed. To be honest, it feels that the rooms in Yangjiao Island in North Korea are not new. Unexpectedly, there is a swimming pool, but the corridors are full of the smell of swimming pool disinfectant. The building is very big, and it takes ten minutes to walk from the lobby to the room. The only good thing is that there are a lot of video games by the pool. 5 minutes drive from the city center. 10 minutes drive to drivethru's kfc McDonald's and gas station. The lobby is quite new, lifeless during the day, and a group of white fat people drinking at the front bar in the middle of the night, which can make you noisy.

Pool was great. Arcade a hit with the kids, although the hotel doesn’t take responsibility for broken machines and ate a bunch of our tokens. Moody candy in one of the prize machines, not surprising, but gross. Room was okay, but there were ants. Staff kind and helpful.

Good visit. Blooked reservation in advance and requested first floor near an exit which they accommodated.

Hotel needs updating. The front lobby was nice but carpet in hallways and rooms need to be updated.

A mouse was in our room during the night. The fans on the ac/heat are so loud you feel like you're at a racetrack. It's very outdated given what they charge. Staff were friendly.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was good. Felt safe and it was very quiet. The bathroom in the room, the ac and heating system, need to be updated. The elevator by the lobby needs up dating bad. Feels like your going to go through the fall. The hall felt dark. Needs a little up dating.

I stayed in the newer part with a renovated bathroom. Room was nice and clean. Breakfas was ok with real scrambled eggs, bacon, waffle machine, yogurt machine, fruit etc. Pool was big and warm Cons: pool is in the middle of the hallway, no walls around it so it feels chilly and strange. There is no 24h hot cofee/tea in the lobby. Only Lipton regular tea for Breakfast, no herbal/fruit tea.

Lighting was poor around the building especially in the rear. As an older female traveling alone I look for better lighting. Also parking at the entrance was extremely limited.

There aren’t many choices when you need a hotel near the slopes. It was good enough for what we needed.

Everything was good until the next morning when the power went out! Everything was pitch black I couldn’t do anything I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see.

I loved the pool and the buffet breakfast. It was New Year's eve, so many people in and out on the hallway. Just wished they had parties at the venues only instead of the arcade/pool space, which was closer to my window because I had trouble putting my baby to sleep.

My room was comfortable and clean and check in was fast and easy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall, a great stay. I would just add that the hotel was very dark. Dark wood and dark brown carpeting - it didn't give a welcoming vibe. I would suggest some renovations to brighten up the space and make it more appealing and inviting.

It was functional in a pinch, but double the price of what it should have been. It also looked like someone tried to break into the room a few times with all the scratch marks around the door bolt. Mildly sketchy and not worth the $190 price tag

Very strange service. We tired to eat at the bistro for dinner around 6. No body approached us for seating. No waiter. We ended up leaving to get food after a very long drive. The floors were not vacuumed in hallways and stairwells. Lots of cob webs in room. Beds were thankfully clean. Will not be returning.
