I was just disappointed of the initial checkin as I got in my room my request was never made. Very simple. I ask the 2 single beds to be combined to make it bigger. But nope.
The late checkouts despite of willing to pay extra was just as it is. I could pay an extra night if I have to if they said so but no.
We were from night shift of work and finished at 7 am that we got to the hotel at 7:30 and after breakfast few minutes of rest then we slept off. We got a call at 11 telling us about the checkout and told them I have already asked for the late checkout for extra charges but its only for 2 hours. Nothing more. The attendant started banging the door telling us to checkout as she needed to changed the sheets and so on and so for. We find it really rude.

I first went to the Kingstown Hotel last year, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, so I came back for another weekend this year from the 29th untiI the 31st March, and although this is one of the only few hotel holidays that I enjoy doing (as I'm more of a caravan holiday person), I feel like that this place is one of my second homes to me. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming back again in the future and saying hi to all the lovely staff at the Kingstown Hotel and the Wacky Warehouse. I definitely felt like a big kid at times too! lol😂 I would also like to say a massive big thank you to the team for leaving me an Easter Egg for me in my hotel room on my second night.🥰🐣🐰

We had four days stay and we came prepared with hot water bottles but to our surprise the heating was excellent and we was able to walk about the hotel and resturant without a jumper.

Cleanliness ok. Food was extremely disapointing across 3 meals. Decided to just bring in a pre packed sandwich on 2nd night after rock hard burger night before. Breakfast - nice guy very interactive but no checkbacks. Extremely poor full english. Forgot beans, cold shriveled mushy half tom, microwaved sausage that had gone hard and split. Bacon ok. Coffee cold both mornings and dribbling out of jug.

Staff very welcoming as soon as we entered the pub. Shown to a table straight away even though we hadn’t booked. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful when we ordered food. Meal was good, especially dessert! Table service was excellent as always!

I was staying in room 13 (unlucky for some)
The mattress was very uncomfortable I could feel the springs pushing into my back.
There was no body on reception in the morning to report this to .

The hotel itself was well below other greene king I stayed in! The corridors were in a mess smelly dirty carpet not been vacuumed in a long time. Very scruffy place.

Room lovely and clean. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is lovely. 100% would recommend and I will be staying again in the very near future! The bath is a full size which was great as when I have stayed in a travel lodge the baths were quite small.
