This is our second stay, the first wasn't such a great experience. We were in a different room & area of the hotel On arrival the room was very cold ( it had snowed that day) all the radiators were turned off, we worked out this was the issue and turned them on, we were soon cosy & quiet. We also had to ask for more toilet roll and batteries for the T.V remote control. We dined in, food was acceptable and this was the same at breakfast. The choice is basic and boring. We used the spa/pool and enjoyed. My conclusion, the Burton is a dated hotel, with a traditional and quaint charm. However staff are friendly, the welcome warm, room for improvement but overall we did enjoy our stay.
