We celebrated an 80th birthday there last night. The food was good and the private room was really nice but it was the service that really shone through. Our maitre d was very good (I never caught his name) but it was Poppy that was amazing. Polite, attentive and nothing was a problem or trouble for her. Good old fashioned service which so many places lack these days. Well done 👏👏

Beautiful hotel with staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. We were on a room only rate so didnt have any food but heard its good. Our room was out of the way so it was nice and quiet, however the section of the building we were in was very warm and there was a fan in the room to compensate. The room and bathroom were beautiful, modern and clean and felt very luxurious. There was also a fridge in the room which came on handy. The one thing that let the stay down and stopping it from being a full 5 points was the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable, too firm and we were both stiff the next day. I'd recommend upgrading the mattresses to something more comfortable to guarantee an all round perfect stay as this would put us off staying again.

We stayed at the Dean Park as we were attending a family celebration locally. All the staff we encountered were very attentive and polite. Food in restaurant was good although the loss of one star is because the vegetarian options are very limited. Room was lovely. Bed comfy.

I have one big complaint about this hotel: the terrible view from the room. When I arrived on Sunday evening, having paid £111 for a room just for me (with no special offer, having booked directly with the hotel), there were very few other guests. When I made my booking, I'd particularly said I would appreciate a decent view from the bedroom. Yet they put me in a room with what is one of the worst views I have ever seen from a hotel bedroom - a huge concrete roof, made worse by construction work in the background (see photo). Did they think that this was a 4-star view? I certainly didn't! I asked if that was the best they could do and I was moved to another room that had a view of the cars parked in front of the hotel (see second photo) - not great, but a lot better than the first room. I did stay on a second night because I couldn't be bothered to move hotels. But I wouldn't rush to stay there again. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.

In total £130 for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in a very clean modern hotel with staff who always had a smile on their face, even at 8.30 on a Sunday morning. If we are in the area again we will be back for some more tasty, good quality food.

Keeping it simple but it was fantastic all round. Great breakfast,polite staff and very clean throughout. I don’t know what more you want. Would definitely come back. I apparently have to use up this review with more words than I want so is that enough?

Went there with my mama for a Tea Afternoon as she had a birthday gift voucher. We ordered vegetarian selection by phone to book a table and it was delicious including lovely desserts. Mama enjoyed it. Great decor, friendly staff and warm welcoming.
