Efri-Vík Bungalows

There was some kind of smudge on the wall. Bathroom very old. The sink drain leaks. Between the leaking sink and the lack of shower curtain, that meant the whole bathroom floor was wet all the time. Not a pleasant stay. Breakfast at the hotel was good though.

Very small but had all we needed for a one night stay. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area. The breakfast buffet in the main lodge was very good.

This place is a lot of fun for those who enjoy basic accommodations in a beautiful setting. The cabin was very roomy and came with a fully functional kitchen where one could cook their own meals should they want to save a bit on dining costs (Dining is considerably higher in Iceland than in the U.S. and much of the rest of Europe). There was also a kitchen table and chairs. While small the bathroom was very clean and everything worked great (Plenty of hot water and pressure was excellent). The natural beauty is all around outside and birds were highly enjoyable to watch and hear. Parking was right next to my cabin, so unloading and loading was a snap. The cabin was very clean, but the pillows were bit too thin for me, so you might want to ask for extra pillows when checking in. A breakfast that was served at the hotel on the grounds was also included and the food was great. Be sure to try the eggs; even though they were cooked differently than I am accustomed to, they were very tasty. The jams and cheeses were also superior. I enjoyed my stay and would happily return in the future.

We had a cute little cottage with parking right outside. It was made up very well with linens and tea service. The view was very nice from the breakfast room in the main building and the breakfast was good with a few gluten free options.

I enjoyed the beds! Great night sleep!

This stay was kind of primitive. My biggest issue was the condition was very worn. The sheets had some stains and were slightly fraying in places. The bed was lumpy. The shower was small and made the whole bathroom floor wet. The cabin had a musty smell. The heaters worked well. The staff was friendly. The breakfast had a large variety of items which was nice. I wish we had stayed in the hotel itself which seemed much nicer than the bungalows. The view from the hotel (not bungalow) was nice.
