Upon check in, we were unable to access our room. The batteries in the keyless door were dead so no keys would allow access to the room. The desk attendant then switched us to another room. We entered that room to learn it had not been cleaned since the last guest stayed. We returned to the front desk. We were told sorry we cannot accommodate you. They did not have anyone from maintenance or cleaning on staff. They literally sent us away. Luckily the Holiday Inn had availability. As we left we were told they would not charge us for the stay. I was like that’s good because we obviously aren’t staying. To this day the manager has not called us back or offered any kind incentive for our inconvenience. I do not recommend staying at this Hilton. It truly felt like this was not a big deal to them, which worries me that it is common practice.
