STF Abisko Turiststation Reviews

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and the view was stunning! We love the breakfast which was included in the room rate for the wide selection and great taste. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. There is a bistro which serves a more affordable dinner after 5p.m, the staff of the restaurants and bistro were friendly too. There is a free sauna for the customer but unfortunately we had no time to try it. The hiking trail was clearly marked and there was a map available at the reception. There was a guide available after 7pm for the customer to ask questions about aurora sighting. We joined the aurora sky station tour as well! It was a unique and unforgettable experience even though we couldn't see the aurora as it was cloudy, kudos to Jasper the guide as he tried his best to give us the best experience :)

The room facilities are great! The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils. The activity schedule is also very rich and the scenery is beautiful. Bed sheets, pillowcases and quilts must be purchased separately and must be removed by yourself at the door when you check out. However, the signs for the room locations in the park were not clear enough, and the visibility was not very good at night. We had no way of knowing clearly where the room was when we checked in, which resulted in our car getting stuck in the snow. It took us a whole day to resolve the issue, and the older staff at the counter didn't seem to want to help us and their faces weren't very good. The other employees were very friendly, but we finally resolved the issue with the help of other guests! 🙏 It is recommended that the park can clearly mark the signs and put a prohibition sign wherever the car cannot be placed~
