Kiso Mikawa Hotel is 5-minutes bus riding from Kiso-Fukishima station, it closes to bus stop and closes to Fukushima-juku. You can explore the town on foot. The first floor of the hotel provided large public bath which is not crowded.

- spacious room - friendly staffs and service - near kiso toy museum and narai-juku - the room is a bit smelly or humid but they provided air purifier and after we on it, the smell was gone - a bit old ryokan - hard to find food around kiso so good to have meal at the ryoka Kiso area is very beautiful. Beautiful mountain road.

Wonderful (though not new) hotel with an onsen that welcomes guests with tattoos. We had a spacious room with a river view, and breakfast was included in the price. There's a vending machine with sodas and beer, plus a counter selling noodles and snacks right at the hotel entrance, which was a lifesaver since we had a late check-in. We were very satisfied!

The hotel is not that near to the train station, about 20 minutes walk from the train station and located beside the river. Initially we booked a single room without realizing that it does not come with attached bathroom. So we upgraded to a private room with attached bath. Room are really spacious and clean. We also tried the onsen which is great after a full day hike. They provide drinks 24 hours with a soft drink and coffee dispenser as well as a wide selection of teas. There are many interesting flavors. Breakfast spread are really good and tasty.

The staff were all very friendly, and although it's an old hotel, it's very well-maintained. Our room faced the river, and we could have enjoyed the cherry blossoms, but unfortunately, they hadn't bloomed yet. The surrounding area is definitely worth exploring. Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of dishes.

I had a great stay her and would come back if I explore Kiso again in autumn. Pros: Loved the location of my room because it was overlooking the kiso river. The staff were friendly and accommodating. As for the food, it was good although it would've been great if there was a bit of variety since the menu was exactly the same everyday. But I only stayed for 2 nights so it wasn't that big of a deal for me. 😊 Cons: I tried checking out the onsen but backed out due to the very strong smell of chlorine. It seemed like a lot of chlorine was poured into the tiles and into the water as well so I just proceeded to my room and took a hot shower instead. 😅

10- 15 min walk from kiso fukushima station. 15-20min walk to the supermarket. My room was spacious compared to other accommodation. I believe there are no private showers and you have to use the onsen shower which is on the lower floor. The layout of the floors were a bit different. Toilet (with wash basin) on one side and separate wash basins (i guess for brushing teeth) on the other side. Buffet breakfast was decent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Enjoyed my breakfast with a river view. Wish I had spent an extra night in Kiso Fukushima.

Nice and cute hotel Big rooms with tatami River view, western style futon and cool Yukata! One thing was disappointing- our room (203) was next from breakfast place and have unified ventilation. When we check in and in the morning, smell a food 🥘

It is a very old hotel. The fridge and washing machines are not very clean, saw mould in the fridge. Have to hop between room and bathroom due to its structure. Onsen has a very strong chlorine smell and extremely hot compared to the other onsens we have been to in the same trip. Dinner provided are mostly fried items and replenishment for soup etc is always limited even though it is still early dinner hour.

I had a nice size room over looking the river , the onsen was a nice feature , the hotel had easy access to the train /bus stations about a 15 minute walk, the meals they provided were reasonable . I had my own ensuite my room was equipped with the standard features ,all in all the hotel was good to stay in.
