Theo Sunset Bay Hotel

The hotel was good, clean and the food was nice. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely views, quiet location. Room was clean but dated and bed was literally rock hard and so uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok, the food at lunch and dinner was awful luke warm, luke warm pork and rice is a recipe for illness so we chose not to risk it and to ate out most nights. We were full board so weren’t allowed the snack bar menu so can’t comment on that. You get a plastic card to exchange for a pool towel, which you are allowed to exchange every 2 days. It’s very regimented and they mark the days and time of each towel exchange. On the last day we were not leaving until 8pm but had to check out at 12, we had not yet returned our towels to get the little plastic cards back so were told we would have to pay €40 to continue to use the pool towel for the day. It’s little things like this that are just awful, not what we expected, regimented and suck any fun from the holiday. Pool area was nice enough until the last couple of days of our stay. It’s branded as a family hotel but a group of over 25 loud men took over the pool on a stag do. It was awful and really ruined the whole atmosphere around the hotel/ pool with shouting, swearing and talking absolute filth with children around. If we had wanted a lively hotel we would have booked that, we deliberately booked a ‘quiet, family hotel’. Very disappointed that the hotel allows stag do’s especially on such a large scale. We will not return and would not recommend this hotel, the food isn’t good enough, the towel issue left a sour taste and it just wasn’t the relaxing holiday I expected from reading the description of the hotel. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday in a nice hotel I would look elsewhere, this isn’t it.

We stayed at the Theo Sunset Holiday Village for a Week in June on Bed & Breakfast Basis. Very large complex with a number of buildings making up the Village. Free Parking - and plenty of it - was our first observation upon arriving, whilst Location is on the Main E701 close to Coral Bay. Simple Check In procedure with Reception Staff friendly and helpful. Our Room was very spacious and furnished with everything we required with a decent Shower and supplied Shower Gel. Bed was Queen Size and Bedding very comfortable. Kettle, Hairdryer and Fridge were supplied although I found it unusual you had to pay an additional fee for a Security Box. Facilities were very good with plenty of Sunbeds and Parasols. There were three areas - Adults Only, General And Kiddies Pools - and Pool / Beach Towels were supplied - changeable every two days. Breakfast was Buffet Style with multiple choices to suit most Nationalities and Dietary Needs. Staff were plentiful and helpful and the Bar area served both food and drinks which were priced reasonably. Car and Bicycle Hire was available and excursions were also available. Very nice stay was enjoyed.

Stayed here 5th may for 2 weeks. Couldn't find fault with anything except the room was dated and no colour also entertainment was disappointing. food was excellent and all staff were amazing. The lady who works as lifeguard was exceptional always busy cleaning up and tidying around the pool and needs recognition. She was so friendly as were all the other staff . Hope to see you all again soon

Lovely hotel.Really friendly helpful staff.Very clean. We had a junior Suite which was spacious. Breakfast is buffet style good choice . Hotel is set back from the road with several restaurants nearby. Sonnys and See View beach bar very good. Bus stop outside hotel which goes into Paphos and Coral Bay beach.

I have stayed at Theo sunset now for8years and booked again next year making my 9th why do I keep going back there because I just love it it is a very happy helpful well run hotel. The management go out of their way to help you have the best holiday to remember. The staff are very friendly very polite and they also help you to have th best holiday. It is a family run hotel not too big which just how I like.

We arrived after 1am and the reception was waiting for us. Very friendly man at the desk, offered us a drink and had sandwiches all ready for us in case we wanted them. Room was quite large, very clean and nice. The view was a partial sea view, which was okay. Food was very good, lots of choice and tasty, plenty of it and it was buffet style. Changed each day. We were all inclusive so the drinks in the restaurant were help yourself, even the beer and wine was help yourself as well as soft drinks. Pool area very clean and was lovely, always sun beds to be had, didn’t seem to be a lot of people putting out towels to reserve them, everyone was being fair and just put towels on were they actually sat, that was refreshing. Pool towels available free of charge, no deposit and can be changed at the poolside. However, if you require to keep hold of them on the day you are leaving you need to deposit 20euros which is returned once you hand the towels back in. Hotel staff all very friendly and helpful, hotel was clean everywhere you looked and the sunsets from the upstairs restaurant was absolutely beautiful every evening. Definitely would go back to this hotel. One problem was the bed, hard as rock and when laying on your side for a few minutes began to hurt. From the hotel front if you go right, cross over the road at traffic lights you come to the bus stop (615) that takes you to the Tomb of the Kings terminus where you can get another bus, 611, to Paphos terminus. Each journey, no matter how far you go, is two euros or a day rover for 6.50 euros. The bus stop to the left on the same side as the hotel takes you to Coral Bay, a beautiful sandy bay for swimming You can reach the stony beach from the hotel but it’s down quite a number of flights of stairs, cross over road then down a very steep hill road, I found it hard going and never done it again, too taxing for me. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.
