Somehow I got a very good price , the staff was super nice… the location is not to far from the jr station, great renovation, offered a free drink when checked in , free coffee during your stay, a real gem

A nice little traditional inn tucked 15 min walk from the station. The host was very kind and wasn't too noisy at night.

The staff were very friendly and clean. However, the wood creaked a lot every time I walked, and the doorknob lock didn't work properly, which was a problem. Instead of locking the inside of the room with a key, it would have been better if they had installed a latch or hinge, like the bathroom. It was so uncomfortable that I kept leaving it open. The soundproofing is practically nonexistent, but thankfully, the next room was quiet the first night, so I slept well. But the second night, the people next door were so noisy that even at midnight, and 1 a.m., they kept making noise. I wore noise-canceling earphones, but I couldn't sleep, and I was so upset. It's important to find a good roommate.
I arrived late the first night, and they waited for me even after check-in time. Arriving at night, the dark, old wooden house was unfamiliar, so it was a bit scary. The back of the bed was also scary when I lay down... but it was fine the next morning. The shared bathroom is a bit of an inconvenience, and it's also a bit far from Kokura. Still, I recommend it for a unique experience and a retro vibe.

The house itself is quite cute, though it's a bit far from the station, about a 20-minute walk. The living space doesn't have a private bathroom, requiring shared bathrooms, but most visitors are quite respectful. The only unpleasant thing was a large cockroach that appeared in the room on the day of check-in. It seems like insect problems are inevitable for a single-family house like this.

This is a very unique guesthouse with a large tatami room that feels like it could sleep 20 people. There's also a tatami common room and a shared kitchen, all immaculately clean and equipped with an induction cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and a wide selection of tableware. The third floor features handmade items. The staff are very friendly. Books and picture books are on display and for sale. Some areas for improvement: The room I booked had two single beds, which were too narrow and didn't touch the wall on either side, making me afraid I'd fall. The second-floor bathroom was cramped, while the first-floor bathroom was excellent and spacious. If I were to visit Mojiko again, I would definitely stay at this guesthouse. Also, be patient when searching for a guesthouse, as the sign is quite small.

Hotels in Japan are just okay to stay in. Everything is very backward compared to China! The charging equipment in the hotel is almost equivalent to the equipment in China 10 years ago! Needless to say, it is small. The service is definitely good! The door lock is still the padlock 🔒 In China, the countryside is more advanced than this now.

The female staff were very friendly, and some of them spoke good English, making communication seamless. The room was comfortable, but there weren't many outlets and limited space, making it difficult to open a large suitcase. There was a kitchen, so you could buy your own ingredients and cook, highly recommended for those who enjoy cooking. The B&B has a hipster vibe and is easily accessible by bus from Mojiko Station.
