Super Hotel Kokuraeki Minamiguchi

The hotel was spotless, and the staff were incredibly kind and gentle. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotels, but it seems they really focus on providing a good night's sleep, as I slept soundly here. The hot spring was also lovely.

Excellent service with a full range of toiletries and skincare products. The healthy filtered sparkling water is said to have anti-inflammatory properties. Breakfast was healthy too.

The place is too small.

The loft bed wasn't made; the cups and blankets were just piled on it. If you wanted to sleep there, you had to make the bed yourself. Also, the lady at luggage storage would only let you store your bags until noon after checking out. If you have a 28-inch suitcase, you might want to reconsider this hotel, as you might not be able to fully open it. The breakfast was decent and filling, though. Being a hot spring hotel, men and women have separate bathing times. The toiletries provided were very comprehensive and self-service.

There is luggage storage service, but they only say it is a service and since there are only a few luggage storage spaces, they don't provide luggage storage when they are all full. You have to pay to leave your luggage somewhere else.

It's very close to Kokura Station, making it convenient to take the train. The downside is that the rooms are relatively small.
