There is a public bus not far from the hotel, and it takes one hour to get back to Kitami. There are buses from Kitami to Onkenyu. You can take the bus from the bus terminal next to JR Kitami Station. There are five or six buses a day. Would go again. The key is that the hot springs are of good quality and the town is quiet with few people.

I stayed here as part of a group tour. The room was relatively clean. When I entered the room, the futon was already laid out. The bathroom in the room I stayed in smelled like sewage. (It was quite a strong smell.) Dinner was a half-buffet style. Breakfast was good. The place was spacious and had a wide variety of dishes. The large communal bath was good. It was spacious, and the changing room was the largest of any ryokan I've stayed at. There were no convenience stores nearby, so if you want to buy alcohol or snacks, you'll have to use the shop inside the ryokan.

The hotel is only 15 minutes' walk to Beihu Ranch, Shanzhi Aquarium and Guomenglin Rest Station. It takes about half an hour by bus to Liuberui Railway Station.
