We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights at the BeachWoods Resort. Our 2 boys (ages 6 and 8) loved the indoor splash pad, even though the chlorine or may be too much acid was bothering my eyes. The boys had goggles so it didn't bother them. They also loved the playground and the paddleboats. The room was clean and the kitchen was equipped with more than we needed. The washer and dryer was a bonus! We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area.

A few things seem to be down or not working(arcade wasn’t up and hot tub was down a couple days) this year so it was less fun” ∧ we had to buy fishing poles to use only during the stay because the resort didn’t offer them like last year. Families that came and went above us were up all hours and playing loud music and stomping, but aside of those few things we loved it. It’s peaceful and made for family. The place is beautiful and has lots to offer. We were there 6 days almost 7 and we felt like home and enjoyed our time.

We took a spur of the minute weekend trip. We had never heard of beachwood resorts before. Every part of pur trip was excellent from arrival to departure and was well beyond our expectations for our weekend getaway!

Beachwoods made our first OBX trip a huge success. Located in a rare, very peaceful wooded area, we still had easy access to the northern OBX towns. We used the pool, paddleboats, hiking trail, and movie rentals during our stay.

This resort has nice amenities and grounds. We usually visit a couple of times a year. They charge a sizable daily resort fee in addition to the regular accommodations cost. The large water slide seems to never be working, and this is a major attraction, especially for families with older children. No one there can provide a valid reason for the lack of this amenity. It's unacceptable.

The resort has the potential to be a nice resort. The units are spacious. They have a water park and lake with paddle boats. However the floors sag and the toilet randomly runs due to uneven floors. There was also a roach but you are in the woods.

Resort is far from beach, $30/day activity fee whether or not you use amenities. Walls are extremely thin in lock off units. Otherwise it was OK. Resort is in the middle of a swampish area, you'd never know you were at the beach.

The location of the resort was perfect on the Outer Banks. You could go north or south and see all that the Outer Banks has to offer (which is a lot) The staff was wonderful and very accomodating! We will come back for sure.

Awesome location, with lots of activities on and off the resort. Great location for families of all sizes! The weather was not the best during our stay but the kids stayed busy as well as the adults and everyone had a great time!
