Travelodge by Wyndham Klamath Falls

We are 7 weeks in to 10 weeks in the USA and are fully aware of the standard fare to expect in these motels. Room was the usual large, with separate bathroom /toilet and a part walled off storage area Bed comfortable. 3 pillows - why 3 not 4?? Towelling, toiletries fine. The let down was the electrics / appliances. The storage area had the fridge, microwave and coffee machine. 3 appliances but only 2 sockets. And the fridge wasn't plugged in on arrival so want already cold. And the cable on the microwave was that short that we had to turn it around on top of the fridge and move the fridge to get microwave plugged in. Also turned out that the "desk" area had the TV, set-top box, electric clock and lamp - 4 appliances - but only 2 sockets. Which was why only the lamp and box were plugged in. However, when we unplugged the lamp to plug in the TV we could not get it to work at all. There was a hole below the screen where the sensor/on/off light would normally be. A room 2 away from us was playing bassy music that loud that it vibrated our room, but we asked reception to do something about it. It did stop sometime shortly after. But outside was noisy - traffic, music, coming/going motorbikes during the evening. And there was no fire exit notice, and the wall plate where the fire alarm should be fastened had no fire alarm fitted And the "curtains" were decorative only. The blackout curtains are a pretty disgusting sight. As as for the 1 to 2 inch gap under the door...

This budget Motel has a good sized room with king sized bed, wifi, fridge, microwave plus real coffee machine. Lots of clothes storage space and friendly manager. This is a budget hotel and does what it says on tin.

It was a nice place to stay for the price.

Extremely helpful staff. We appreciate their service at late check in. Rooms simple but clean. Would recommend making sure curtains could close all the way we had hard time!
