I have left a review before on this hotel. After staying several times a year over the past 4 years on overnight stops from Georgia to Ohio and vice versa, I only have the most wonderful things to say about The Oliver in Knoxville. The hotel is lovely and the staff are so kind and helpful. The restaurant - The Oliver Royale- is such a treat! And, the cocktail bar/ speak easy is a lot of fun. I always feel very safe staying there with my college age daughter. My daughter has now graduated and we won’t be making the trip back and forth anymore. I will miss staying there. However, we did recently stay at The Claremont in Atlanta, which is part of this group. It was wonderful! We loved it! So, thank you to The Oliver Hotel for taking such great care of us! We will definitely be back when in Tennessee, but until then- thank you for everything!

Stayed here for the first….. and last time! One of the reasons we stayed at this hotel was to enjoy the speak easy which we were unable to do due to the rude staff and no management on site to rectify. Would not recommend paid to much for the terrible service.

Age discrimination… Spent one night with a party of 8 couples, 8 rooms. Chose this hotel mainly because of the speak easy and unfortunately the two men working refused us entry more than twice. Once because there was too many of us, second time because we were talking across tables. This was a Wednesday evening….. not a busy weekend night.They also made us go back to our rooms to get our ID’s when we ranged in age from 50 - 66. After second refusal, we then went done the road to Clancy’s where we were well taken care of and we spent a lot of money and the young lady was given a generous tip. When we returned to the hotel 4 of us tried once again to enter the speak easy, three of us walked in without an issue when the forth, 66 yrs old and gray haired he was stopped once again and told there was no room… there clearly was room and it appeared everyone else in the room was much younger… Will never stay here again and I hope anyone of a mature age with money to spend goes down the road to the Hyatt.

There were no rooms ready until an hour after regular check-in. We had called the day before to inquire about an early check-in and they let us know that may or may not be possible. However, waiting an hour after the published check in time was very frustrating. The mattress badly needs to be replaced. A blanket in the room would’ve been nice. Curtains are needed over the wood blinds, it was unreasonably bright during the night. In general, the room was clean, but the Keurig was very dusty and I did not want to use it. Our room service tray sat outside our door all night after dinner and was still there when we checked out the next day. I would recommend complementary water bottles in the room. Overall it felt over priced, but the location was outstanding

My best friend and I had a girls weekend recently and stayed at the Oliver. The hotel is very quaint/chic and the staff were fantastic!

Beautiful spot with attentive staff

Hotel was great. Bed was horrible. And I’m not usually super picky. I actually looked at the mattress to make sure it wasn’t a waterbed. We sink to the middle and I woke up with a sore neck. Otherwise we loved the hotel.

I love the look and feel of this hotel and the Speak Easy was awesome to experience as well
