The a**osphere is good, suitable for relaxing. But the room smells musty, like a bit too much damp cloth. There is very little breakfast. If compared to the room price and breakfast price And the menu doesn't have much variety at all. Those who don't eat pork have even fewer options. And some of the salad vegetables have even rotted. Notify the staff and act like nothing happened. Disappointed that this is not the first time staying here. After getting past Covid, I thought it would get better, but it didn't.

I have stayed in 3 hotels on the island. This is my favorite one. The bathroom and bathroom are so cute. There is 711 as soon as I walk out. The location is very good and the price/performance ratio is very high. I will definitely recommend friends to come here. It is a pity that I can’t get a free hotel in the rainy season. Kayaking, I hope the weather will be better next time I stay here so I can experience it

The hotel is quite old, in the room there is a musty smell from the furniture and mattresses. If the hotel is renovated at this point, it can be considered a very pleasant hotel because the room is spacious, overlooking the sea. There is a private beach, the service from the staff is very good. Lovely attentive to all guests Breakfast is good, convenient to travel.

I booked for 3 nights but I left the next day, a real bad experience the hotel is lost and abandoned the staff is cold and non-existent, the room infested with insects and very old. the strong point is the breakfast which is a horror without doubt the worst of my life. I left quickly the first day without looking back, a real relief to be saved from this hotel. TO FLEE

We stayed here in 2016 and came back briefly 2 years ago. It has rustic old world charm and feels like Thailand used to 25 years ago. There is no girly bar scene, it's quiet and perfect for families. If you are into shiny modern, it may not be for you. The staff are fantastic especially, with our now five year old son. You are straight out onto the beach which is nearly always empty, due to the Pimalai down the road. Like all Thai beaches it is public, therefore it's unlikely you will see any new development any time soon. Some good food nearby at Same Same down the beach and Drunken Sailor up the road. Next door is the Why Not Bar and a friendly, good restaurant.

Like Stephen B in the last review there are many pros and cons regarding this hotel. To start at the beginning we arrived, then found out I’d booked five nights at the Ao Nang sister hotel in error. You can imagine the horror, especially as it had all been paid for. Anyway they could only accommodate for three nights as the rest was full so we only needed to find another hotel for two nights. I loved the location, close to the beach and we actually liked being so close to the Why Not Bar, two nights we were there until close anyway. The room is a quirky design and the hammock on the veranda comfort itself. Water provided daily and fresh beach/bath towels if wanted. All in all I loved the room but yes, the shower needs a good scrub. Plus the water wasn’t particularly hot. The breakfast was a disaster. This morning they ran out of coffee, butter, bread, fruit, juice… we had to ask several times for it to be replenished. There is no cheese for the omelettes (a big MUST for me, I’m on holiday!!). Not overly impressed. We ordered a bike for 0800 the following morning with two helmets the bike turned up two hours late with one helmet so we had to wait for another to come, then we had to come back because the rear tyre was as flat as a pancake. Probably not the fault of the hotel directly but still detracts from the positives. Would I return? Yes I would.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I loved it. But beware of a few issues: Cons: - Music at neighbouring Why Not bar goes all day from roughly noon to midnight. At night it can get very loud, especially during and after the fire shows. Earplugs and/or noise machine is a must. If you’re sensitive to noise, and need absolute quiet to sleep, do not stay here. But it also keeps the price down, which is a bonus. - The rooms could use a refresh and deep cleaning. Overall it’s pretty clean, but the shower especially needs a really good scrub. The lower room we had was musty smelling. - The breakfast options and restaurant in general are very underwhelming. (Although the eggs were always perfect). The “hot” breakfast buffet dishes were not kept warm and were generally always cold. Unsure why. Coffee was terrible. Pros: - Perfect location on Koh Lanta! Minutes walk to small town (7/11), on what I’d say is a great beach with a good vibe. Lots of restaurants and cafes surrounding. - Views and sunsets are spectacular and you’re a few steps from the beach. - It’s located towards the southern part of the island, which we found much nicer than the north, and not as isolated as the far south. Rent a scooter for easy driving around the whole island. - The areas to hang out on the property are great. Sun beds around the pool, hammock on your own deck, we rarely left the property. - The pool is excellent, clean, and well maintained. It made all the difference. - The gardens around the pool are SO beautiful and well maintained. If you can tolerate the cons, book this place early for a steal of a deal. Highly recommended.
