Xanadu Beach Resort

Very clean, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Didn't get a chance to try the food though, but that's alright, my love for this place doesn't need much; I'd definitely come back!

The hotel is quite large with a nice environment, and it has its own private beach and sun lounger area. You can rent a scooter for 300 baht a day, and there's also a place to book water activities. The room size is decent, a bit basic but perfectly functional. Breakfast is a buffet; while not a huge variety, there's enough to fill you up, and the taste is quite good. Eating outdoors in the shaded area right by the beach is very pleasant. Overall, it offers good value for money.

The sea view is absolutely stunning! As for the hotel itself, it's pretty much on par with a standard three-star, but you can't really expect much more when you're on an island. A heads-up: they don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or conditioner, so it's best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Also, the water in the room is desalinated seawater, which is fine for showering and washing clothes, but you'll need to buy bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth/rinsing.

The room was clean, but the facilities were just so-so. However, the beach and ocean were very clean, making it a good choice for the price, especially for the seaside experience. The breakfast buffet was also quite good.
