The rooms in Shadian are older and thinner than in the photos. The rock hot springs in Shadian are not ventilated and the water vapor is permeated and feels cramped. However, the overall hot spring is relatively old, and it does not provide hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc. after soaking in the hot spring like other hot spring hotels. The hot spring street is not as beautiful as Kusatsu and Kinosaki Onsen, and the spa store does not provide in-room private baths or reserved family-style facilities like Nasu Onsen (a relatively remote hot spring).

You can stay in the hotel and have two meals in one place, because many small shops in Arima are closed at night, so you have to either book hotel meals or find a restaurant to book early.
