The whole experience was absolutely surreal. The hotel had an incredible ambiance and a charming old Victorian feel to it that transported us to another era. The staff was exceptionally attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to assist us at every step. Mr. Ebi was particularly outstanding—he was not only helpful and kind but also displayed unmatched expertise and professionalism in his work, making our stay truly unforgettable.

Pet friendly place with non-busy space with good views of lake. Staff are very friendly and pro-active. However, the property is old and rooms are very spartan. For the price they charge, rooms will feel disappointing. Negatives are that the parking is outside, so you feel insecure about the car, although the have cctvs and the road is not very busy. Also, there is dirty sewage water flowing right outside the gate and sometimes inside the property as well: very unhygienic if you are with kids. Overall, an average old property but good staff buy overpriced.

Rooms were good and comfy. Worth for money paid. You can’t expect views because it is in the Center of Kodai. Walkable distance to Kodai lake. Good one if you are on right budget. No regrets. good room. good help from reception for any queries. place is prime location to reach 7 road junction. lake is also near. only small disappointment is the biriyani taste in lunch is not having that authentic masala and its having less salt or something. Apart from that no issues for me.

We booked for 3d2n executive room. Even though the room was neat, the bathroom wet areas were unusually slippery. My wife slipped away and fell down. She had head injury and 2 stitches at the KHMS hospital close to this property. When asked them about the condition of the washroom, they simply tried to make reasons and get away with it. While Mr Satish found out the aftermath of the fall, I asked him to arrange rubber mat for the washroom which he did. On the third day of check out, parking was a big time issue. They collect your car keys to re-park the car as required. DO NOT HAND OVER THE KEY to the security guy. Their unskilled driver parked my car right next to the concerete footpath leaving a 10-15 CM long scratch with dent. The unskilled and unprofessional manager of the resort on duty came and applied tooth paste and started rubbing off the scratch. The fellow says apply mobil lubricant oil and it will go away. He says I cannot say anything to the driver who was responsible for this. So he just apologized and walked away. SUCH A PATHETIC experience and no customer service. Unprofessional and unattended attitude. Having gone to kodaikanal to celebrate my wifes bday, everything went into vain and loses. I have proofs to declare these sorts of uncalled service offered. The so called General Manager is not at all fit to perform the duty ot attend to a customers query for an issue caused by themselves. Instead of finding a solution he was more keen yo conceal their mistake and left us there just like that. Location wise this place is good. Other hotel staffs were friendly. For their mustakes I had to pay everything including fixing my car. Im a frequent traveller and vlogger and have stayed in tons if properties and always I have encouraged to share good review. But this will always be unforgetable memory for me and my family. Doctor had advised to take an MRI scanning. One week down the Journey, the pain around the head still exists. MRI scanning result is awaited

We had a very good experience at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal. The rooms do not a have mountain/valley view, but the surroundings are pleasant and photogenic. Our Heritage Suite was a spacious and comfortable room. Less natural light in this room. However, we saw some other rooms with good sunlight, nice wooden furniture. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, good authentic south Indian delicacies, different each day, with some common items like idli, dosa, medu vadas (best medu vadas- small, light and crispy!) A different sweet dish everyday (varieties of sheera). Dinner was good. Should have some fixed staple items always, like dal+rice. But whatever was served was good. Hospitality: always responded well on time whenever we placed a call to ask for something. Staff is good natured, always smiling and helpful. Reception is very helpful. We requested booking of sight seeing and cab services and promptly the cab was ready each day, on time. Wifi is also good. Thank you for giving us a great experience at Kodaikanal!
