A fantastic hotel right on the beach, with an fabulous infinitely pool. The service was amazing, and the food in the hotel was excellent. I enjoyed the massage in the spa so much that I had another one the next day. I will definitely return.

I went with my husband and 2 year old daughter to stay at The Fortress Resort and Spa. We loved every minute of it. The location and views are stunning, the food was delicious, the room was big and very well maintained with the most comfy, huge bed. I’m 8 months pregnant and they provided additional big pillows which allowed me to sleep so well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. In addition, the hotel was very child friendly, everyone knew my daughter’s name and she enjoyed playing in the kids club, where the lady was excellent at playing with her. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

Great hotel. This place is paradise and they think of everything. The food is incredible, the staff are friendly and immediately onto any issues - not that there are any. We had a large upstairs sea view room with our young son - the fold out sofa was great for him. Location is nice and a scenic tuk tuk to everything you need in Galle.

We did a day at the pool (didn’t stay overnight) and it was just magical. We had lunch and pool/beach access included in the price. The area and beaches are stunning and the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. The staff were very professional and friendly.

Could not of asked for more! Upon arriving, the view from of the pool and the sea was breathtaking! Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Pool service was great, we had a flag which was raised when we needed food or drink. This process worked very well. The rooms were spacious and catered for all our needs. The spa was big and had a library of treatments. Food was good and plentiful! Would love to return on our next visit!

One of my team members recommended the Fortress Resort & Spa to relax for a few days. Wow he was right, everything was organised perfectly! The next week our children had their birthdays and I had to travel overseas; the hotel organised a small surprise birthday party for both kids! Both of them were so surprised and the whole stay they were saying thank you only. We went to the pool and the supervisor called us to watch the sea turtles in the ocean, close to use we could see the turtles swimming in the ocean, almost we could touch them so close! In the evening we went to the restaurant for our dinner and the team recommended drinks and food that we could refuse! All staff was so friendly and took care of us, just to be short it was a perfect stay and we can recommend the resort! We will be back soon!

The rooms, facility, staff, and services are fantastic. Ocean view is unbelievably nice and the pool is fantastic. Better to forget the indoor jaccuzi, and sauna! We were two couples which wanted to have Spa and massage toghether but they could not make sevrvice to more than 2 pax per session, so we did not do it. The 1st day lunch was fantastic but the 3rd day lunch was extraordinary greesy, and unhealthy, even the same burger we had, was totally different from the 1st day and it tasted like no meat! We will not eat here no more. We would not expect the 5-star hotel to have this much flactuation in meal quality in three days!

We are so happy to have spent the final 5 nights of our Sri Lanka trip here at the Fortress. We had initially booked a Fortress room but were offered an upgrade to a beach room on check in. The room was wonderful. I cannot fault anything about this hotel. The staff were fabulous, food amazing and we were so sad to leave. I hope we are able to stay here again in the future.

When the large wooden gate opens upon entrance to hotel WOW what a view of the ocean Rooms are comfortable clean with everything you need Restaurant food beautiful nothing is too much trouble looked after really well. The staff are lovey Before we settled at the hotel for 7 nights we did 7 nights touring around this beautiful island a must with Mercury Tours
