Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort

The accommodation has a great atmosphere, it's shady, quiet, and right by the sea. The area is spacious, and you can walk along the beach. The rooms are large and clean. It's truly a hotel with a wonderful ambiance.

The hotel has a large area with lots of greenery, a pond with fish, and two swimming pools, one of which has a sea view. It's conveniently located near a 7/11 and several Thai restaurants. The rooms have comfortable terraces/balconies. Breakfast is served in a restaurant with a sea view.

We were very disappointed! We expected much more from the 'Centara' brand. The resort itself is actually beautifully integrated into a tropical jungle by the sea. The rooms, with their elaborate wooden paneling, are also very tasteful. Room cleaning was good too. But the rest of the facility is completely neglected! The grounds are not cleaned or maintained. On the first day, we left a cup between our room and the pool. It was still there on the third day and might still be there today! Access paths to the rooms are not cleaned. Wooden planks around the pool and walkways are loose and partly rotten. The thatch coverings on canopies or pool awnings no longer exist. You only see the black tarp and net. The pool bottom is not cleaned at all, and the filtration system also appears to be no longer intact. The breakfast selection was very limited and became boring after just 3 days. The food offered around the pool during the day is also not recommended – very extremely small and dry portions! The beach is stony and not recommended for small children. The hotel certainly can't be blamed for that, but it should be mentioned in the description. So, after 3 days, we didn't extend our stay and moved to a significantly better maintained and cared-for hotel. Such a shame for what was originally a very beautiful resort!

Excellent hotel for a quiet family vacation. The breakfasts are varied with both Thai and European cuisine, and there are two pools. The location is superb. We rented a car for 1000 baht a day right next to the hotel and explored everything in 2 days, except for the waterfalls. The hotel has an excellent gym for sports enthusiasts. The roads are a bit narrow, but you'll get used to them in a day. Overall, we loved everything and will definitely visit again!

Fantastic hotel. Large, green grounds. Two swimming pools. Beautiful views. The room had absolutely everything: toothbrushes, razor, towels, a beach bag, and slippers. They cleaned every day and brought water daily too. The water pressure was excellent (we have something to compare it to, having stayed in four other hotels on the island). It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the street with shops and cafes. Friendly staff 🥰 We fell in love with this hotel and are already planning our next trip to Centara. Huge thanks to the hotel ❤️
