Canvas & Orchids Retreat

We had a fantastic stay at lovely Canvas. Four days in a luxurious tent, swimming, fishing, hiking and relaxing - what’s not to like? We was hoping to see some of the animals Living in the area, We didn’t, but heard the Gibbons singing and senced the biodiversity and prestine Nature of this unique area. A lot of Projects initiated by Canvas is worth supporting - and paying a little extra for; lokal schools, plastic recycling, animal preservation. Great breakfast and food, and an amazing service. A warm thanks to all of the team; Ravi, Bona, Purim and everybody but especially to Naren who was our guide when visiting TaiTai waterfalls AND who went out of his Way to save my phone after I dropped it in the water Much approciated. I was originally supposed to spend 4 nights at Canvas & Orchids, but I ended up extending my stay for 3 more nights because this place is absolute paradise! Our floating tent was the definition of luxury and comfort, and waking up to that breathtaking landscape every morning was a dream. We filled our days kayaking on the river, swimming, playing badminton, and just relaxing on our private terrace. The organized activities were incredible—the Cardamom trekking and the Tatai waterfall cruise are absolute must-dos! I even got to join a yoga session with a guest teacher, which was so painful as I did not exercise for a year (!) but so rejuvenating. Best of all, Anna and her team are so genuinely enthusiastic and kind; they make you feel like family the moment you arrive. I’m already planning my return, but first, I’m sending my best friend here for her honeymoon!

Our stay at Canvas and Orchids could not have been better. From the moment of our booking we were looked after. They helped with transport to the lodge, looked after everything we needed while we were there, we got us easily and safely on to our next location. And the place itself - my gosh it is magical. There are very few places in the world where you can swim in warm, clear, clean, tropical freshwater to the sounds of jungle birds and then climb up the ladder to your personal luxury tent and have food and drink brought by the friendly staff right to your dock. Cannot say enough about this wonderful place. Special thanks to Anna, Paulo, Pirom, Bona, Mr. George, Raquel, Danny and the rest of this fantastic team!

This is such a beautiful spot - so peaceful - feels miles away from anywhere and with no other tourists to be seen! The tents are fab, the staff super friendly and helpful and the food is lovely. We stayed three nights. One day did village trip and just chilled in lovely surroundings and swam, and did mangrove trip second day which was a great day out. Not the cheapest few days but would highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights at Orchids & Canvas and it was amazing. The transport to the hotel was seamless. The resort and flooring tent were great. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was very tasty. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in a floating tent with our dog. We loved the facilities and being able to swim in the clean river was absolutely fantastic. What’s more it was a lovely and safe river for our dog to swim in too which is why we chose it. The service was incredible, and the food was some of the best we have tasted in Cambodia. The accommodation sorted our transfers from Phnom Penh for us and kept in touch on the journey to make sure all was well. We live in Phnom Penh and will definitely be returning here.

There needs to be an option for a rating of 7+. While we traveled at a time the location was in the Red Zone warning, our experience was truly amazing. The floating tent, the floating patio with access to dive in the crystal clear river, the truly kind and considerate staff. The staff cared for us individually and shared all of the things the resort is doing to help educate and train local folks. The resort arranged transportation from Phnom Phen and to Battambang that wen off without a hitch. Good wine, drinks, and food. It would be a dream come true to return,

Wonderful location, nice, friendly and open-hearted people. Very ecofriendly. The resort engages in a lot of community projects, helping to set up educational structures, protecting wild life diversity and introducing tourists in a sensitive way to the everyday life in the rain forest. We enjoyed our tours to the walterfalls and the mangroves so much. Nakor and Bando are great and very knowlegable guides: always with an open heart, making us acquainted with the manifold plants an animals in the forest. The rooms are perfect and luxurious, always constructed according to high eco standards, with a pecular love for design deails. All in all it had been an unforgettable stay. It made us see and perceive Cambodia, the rain forest, the life of people and all species there in different ways. That is what travelling is for: opening up for new perspectives.

We had a great experience at Canvas & Orchid Retreat. A special thanks to our guide, Mr. Naren, who was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the trip. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The cooking team is excellent, every meal was amazing and delicious. We really loved the food! The rooms were awesome. The canvas tents are very comfortable and well designed, making the stay feel both relaxing and unique. The excursions were also fantastic. We visited the mangrove forest and the natural spa, which were beautiful and unforgettable experiences. The hotel also offers great activities like kayaking, spa, gym, and relaxing swings by the river. The environment is one of the best parts known for peaceful, natural, and with a beautiful beachfront view. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we highly recommend staying here!
