GGuest UserWe have just spent a wonderful 5 days here and it was a blissfully peaceful and tranquil stay. At first we were a little unsure about how remote and cut off it seemed but within a very short time, we had completely forgotten about the outside world. Shantaa resort had everything you could need for a truly relaxing stay. The villas are super comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in lovely gardens which roll down to the sea. The bathroom is an outdoor room which has its own pretty little tropical garden feature. Everything is tastefully furnished, the beds are very comfortable and everything is kept lovely and clean. The outside terrace has beanbag sofas which are great for lounging on. The pool area is great, nice beds and plenty of towels and bottled water available.
The restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast which was really lovely. A lot of thought and effort goes into how the food and drink is made and presented. There is an extensive dinner menu and all the meals we took were of an excellent standard and really very inexpensive. The cafe, which has a lovely setting by the sea, serves lunches and drinks throughout the day and everything we ordered was super fresh and of a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!

AApol ElenaExcellent hotel. We've stayed here twice already and have booked it again for November. The beach is small but sufficient. The pool is fantastic. The bungalows are comfortable. The grounds are incredibly beautiful, and the sunsets are out of this world! The restaurant serves delicious food. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but everything is very tasty. There are 2-3 hot dishes and 2-3 side dishes, along with vegetables, fruits, and eggs prepared in any style, including omelets with various fillings. They offer cheese (4 types of excellent cheese) and ham. There's a variety of pastries (croissants, biscuits, waffles, pancakes) with jams, condensed milk, and chocolate. The coffee is decent. The staff is very attentive. On the beach, there are kayaks and paddleboards available. The low tides aren't a big deal. There are hardly any restaurants in the vicinity, just one in the neighboring hotel. You can rent scooters right at the hotel. I recommend it!

CC5 RoamingThe resort location is just excllent. The whole resort occupied the best location of conjunction between beach and river. So fatastic to walk around the river month and beach. Beach water is clear, and even good sakat boat free for travel.
The most special room type is canal view family, which can only be booked from officiial web. Garden view family room booked from Trip.com is also good, if you are lucky you may have have to river view. I hope next time I can get canal view room from trip.com.
Food is execllent for asian. Free drInks and toast are nice.

ЕЕвгенияCalipsoI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! We stayed in a deluxe villa, second row from the sea. The sea was magnificent, especially before 3 PM, after which the tide started to go out. The breakfasts were average, but always fresh, and there was always plenty of everything. For dinner, we ate at the à la carte restaurant, and everything was delicious (we had read some negative reviews about the food)! Especially the grilled scallops, and the large mixed grilled seafood platter, which included fish baked in salt. The staff were a bit slow, but always tried their best to please you. As for the downsides, the WiFi simply didn't work, and there wasn't a single fruit shop within walking distance.

Upon arrival nice greeting and drink- the kids liked it. Room allocated quickly and the person who met us was great.
Beach is excellent- sunset is beautiful. Pier great to jump from.
Swimming pool warm with seats to relax in.
Room was good, air conditioning worked. Ignoring broken toilet seat and broken soap dispenser- the room was fine and close to the beach, restaurant and shop. The room has WiFi and the tv has Netflix access if you have an account and YouTube.
Motorbike hire is easy- check for bold tyres. We had a puncture almost immediately. My fault for not checking carefully enough .
Service in the restaurant was disappointing- I had to ask each day for coffee. The staff pulled faces when asked as if it was too much trouble. It was awkward asking 2 days in a row. Both staff were equally difficult.
I understand it is low season - not so many customers but they need to pay more attention to diners, play some music and have a simple welcoming look. Breakfast was not so good. If you want eggs or omelettes cooked- good luck! Everything seemed too much trouble. We had dinner there on the first night. The service was terrible but the food was nice and well presented.
Booking trips or boats out was easy and well organised. It was strange that this was so good when the service in the restaurant in the same place was so poor.
I personally would not stay here again, there are nicer hotels along the coast that have better service and facilities around the same price point, I didn’t take many photos here, it felt soulless. I was happy to leave.
The island is excellent. I’m glad we explored it but I would never stay at Sea Far again.

GGuest UserBeautiful accommodation, and the beach is stunning. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is delicious. My only small issue is that the restroom is quite a walk away, and there were quite a few mosquitoes. If you like eco-friendly systems, I highly recommend this place.

GGuest UserCaptain Hook is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The villas are nice, we stayed in a room with its own mini pool. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel can help you arrange boat rides, scooters to rent, ferry tickets, etc. Some amenities the resort offers are massages, fire shows, snorkeling, kayaking, and skiing. You should know that there is no beach in front of the resort, but it’s a quick swim/canoe to the beach across from the resort. The restaurant and bar sits right on the water and offers various western and eastern options. We would definitely recommend the fried chicken wings! It was a great holiday and we would choose this resort again when we travel to Koh Kood in the future.

EEvgenia K.Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏

YYulia KharlovaA pleasant hotel. We stayed in the very last row of bungalows, which are practically brand new. The bungalow itself has everything you need: a refrigerator, a safe, and hot water. The beds are comfortable. Two minor drawbacks: the air conditioning is very noisy and powerful for such a small house, and the breakfast is very poor. The grounds are well-maintained. The beach and sea are magnificent.

CChongqingcainiaoRight next to the famous Klong Prao Beach, the hotel's front desk staff (especially the lady) was incredibly welcoming and had excellent English, so communication was a breeze. She helped us arrange a one-day diving and fishing trip, and also sorted out a private car hire. We'll definitely be back!
