The Tarna Resort, Koh Tao

We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely resort and would highly recommend it. The highlight for us was staying in the sea view villa—the views over the ocean and the stunning sunsets were absolutely incredible. The rooms are genuinely nice, though it is worth noting that the bathroom is open with glass walls and no traditional door separating it from the rest of the room. Its not a big issue but if you like your privacy it could be annoying.The resort is quiet and away from the main hustle and bustle. Keep in mind that the property is located on a steep hill, and once you get up there, you still have to navigate a lot of stairs to actually reach the rooms. However, the hotel handles this well with a golf cart service to take you up and down, and the staff take care of carrying your bags to your room.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. The view is beautiful. Pool nice. Bathroom towels not good. Thin. Also Bathroom has no privacy. No solid door. Just glass. Room good size and comfortable. Staff friendly and good!

This was a 9/10 stay, the quality/set up of the rooms was the only downfall. A glass door in front of the toilet which made it tight inside a little cubical, no mirror in the bathroom, and no proper door on the bathroom. Everything else was absolutely fine, especially the free pool table. The most outstanding thing was the service, the staff here are next level. Would definately stay again.

Great service, very kind people. Good breakfast. Medium location. Bad pool and no view at all. Seaview villa view attached.  You need a scooter to get anywhere or 500 baht taxi, fixed price anywhere on the Island.

Stayed in a hillside suite, lovely room and fantastic views. Staff were very friendly always helping with bags and there was a buggy to take up to our room. I rented a bike so got to hotel easy if not it is a little walk to the main area. There is a free shuttle to Sairee beach which is great and also a free shuttle to pier to get a ferry when leaving. The only negative is the pool was quite small and for the price and also would like a gym on site but of course booked knowing there wasn’t a gym so can’t be negative on that! Overall a great stay and would recommend. Thanks

A real taste of island luxury! Great service, beautiful rooms with great views of the island. I would recommend it to anyone!

The hotel is amazing, we got the rooms at the top of the mountain with an amazing view, amazing rooms, the only problem is lots of stairs but they have an internal shuttle service that is available all the time, the other problem is that there are no taxis at night and the ones that are there are very expensive compared to Thailand, around 400 baht for a 5 minute ride, good breakfast, good pool, food at the hotel after 3 o'clock is also a problem, arrive fully equipped... but the view from the room makes up for everything!
