Ecotao Lodge

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at this hotel. At first glance, it may seem that the location is a bit far from the main beach and the central streets for evening entertainment. However, it’s only about 10 minutes by motorbike. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. Rooms are cleaned daily. There are very few toiletries provided—only toilet paper, liquid soap, and shampoo. The bath towels look quite old. The room itself is a bit outdated. There is ground coffee, tea, and water available. There is quite a lot of wildlife around. On the first evening, there was a snake in front of our bungalow, and a large spider in the room. There are also geckos. There is a small swimming pool. Breakfast is decent, with enough food. You can choose from several types of American breakfast, fried rice and Pad Thai, banana pancakes, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee drinks. You can also order a massage to your room, rent a bike, and book excursions.

Very nice accommodation. I had the suite and the views were stunning. Flawless service too. Highly recommended. Only downside is you need to rely on expensive taxis if you don’t drive a scooter.

The accommodation has a beautiful setting around the trees and the team is very friendly. It is difficult to walk anywhere except nearby Tanote Bay, which makes it expensive to go everywhere by taxi if you don’t rent a scooter. Overall it’s a very peaceful and relaxing place. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray!

The staff were so nice and forthcoming. The rooms were clean, the view beautiful, the food was good. Nothing to complain about.

Guys just listen for a sec and you will never have a bad night of sleep again. After swimming in the indoor pool, I had the greatest dinner of my life. It was roasted chicken with lemon sauce drizzled onto the thighs, and thyme sprinkled over the breast. Then there was creamy white mashed potatoes with cranberry sauce laid over the edges that i mixed with bright yellow corn with butter all over.

Peaceful property in the bush. A bit remote and a steep walk to and from the beach.

Super friendly staff, good food and amazing view

Gorgeous property, lovely staff and great drinks. The rooms are really clean, the pool was great and the balconies overlooked the edge of the mountains which made for a beautiful view. The bar closes at 9:30pm which is a little early but other than that I can’t fault it.

This place is fabulous. Don’t hesitate. Just book it.
