The room is a little dated and the bathroom could use some modernising but apart from that is a lovely hotel. The pool is great but could use more of the newer sunbeds as the older ones are wooden and pro to giving you splinters (which I found out). The hotel is a short walk from the main pier and right next to the beach. I would stay again.

A hotel with an excellent location, a magnificent pool, but very tired and dirty rooms. Well worth the money, but I would prefer the same place, but cleaner and more expensive

This room was pretty basic. It was not the most clean as it seems like a very old building. The TV was broken and the toilet was very stained. If you are using the room to just sleep, it is fine, but if you are looking to relax in the room, I would suggest booking elsewhere. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of bags, it is going to be difficult to take them to your room. No staff offered to help with my bags. One positive things is that it is a little out of the way of the business of all the restaurants and shops so it is more quiet at night.

I am staying at Regal, cannot quibble about a 2 month stay cost but cleaner (what cleaner?) walks past smiling every day but chooses to clean if and when she feels like it. Bed was clean and crisp but when it will he changed who knows, no notices to that effect, bathroom not cleaned out daily, or shower floor mopped daily, or toilet bowl brushed and sanitised, smells of rotten eggs and have taken to swirling cleaner round the bowl. If the Thais are conscious of the environment and using string cleaning products then there are Eco friendly types I use myself at home. The cleanliness of anything other than the bed is debatable and no wonder disease raises its head, its a disgrace to show hospitality this way to visitors to Thailand, just because Regal is budget friendly does jot mean it should be dirty.

Resort is a bit out ofnthe way and the bar closes randomly throughout the day so its hard to get a drink or even any ice during the day and with it being a bit of a massion to get into the main part of town you find yourself hanging out away from the property more than not. Pool is absolutely beautiful and large though and walking distance from the ferry.

We booked this place due to the pool area which was big with lots of beds and close to the beach. The room was 1100 Baht per night, which is around £25. Price wise this wasn't too bad when compared to other properties in the area. The room has good air conditioning, kettle and a hair dryer. The beds were a little hard but still fairly comfortable. However, the hotel in general is in dire need of renovation. The rooms had areas of mould and broken tiles. The doors felt fairly flimsy and easy to force. There was jo in room safe either. We noticed the pool area was pretty dirty and the pool itself clearly needed a proper clean. The staff were as helpful as we're used to in Thailand. No mention of the restaurant, laundry, cleaning, checkout or anything other than payment. We booked what was advertised as a free transfer to the ferry, and it wasn't there on time so we had to walk at late notice. All in all, not the best stay. It was great having loungers and the pool, but needs some work to bring it into this century.

Nice hotel at the beach. 5 minute walk ( beach ) to get there. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice beds. If you like very soft beds,... sorry. Fresh water every day. Also a water heater and tea and Coffee ( instant ) in the room. Clean Pool, with sea view and showers. If you let the staff know what time your boat arrives, there is a taxi pick up. Can use some paint job and a modern make over.
