This was my second time to stay in Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata and I chose to stay here again because of the exceptional service in all fronts. The staff at the restaurant, led by Biswas, have always been amazing and I’d also say having stayed at the other Kolkata hotels that the food options here are much better. The front staff too are friendly and accommodating. I will choose to stay here again next time.

That's a great service from hotel staff especially at the breakfast restaurant staff. They always take care what you want and offer food choices to me and colleague. Surely, the food for breakfast is great, variety of choices. I love coffee and cake so much. When they know that we are the last day at hotel, they prepared simple cake but full of hospitality of restaurant team. Thanks so much and we will come back again.

The room service during my stay was commendable, with efficient and timely assistance. Ms. Arpita, in particular, stood out with her proactive coordination and warm approach, ensuring that all requests were promptly addressed. However, there is room for improvement regarding the food quality. While the room service experience was smooth, the food itself did not entirely meet expectations. The taste could be refined to add a more satisfying and memorable flavor. Additionally, the spread of options felt somewhat limited; expanding the variety would enhance the dining experience by catering to a wider range of tastes and preferences.

We booked a night here at the Holiday Inn Kolkata hotel. I have stayed in Holiday Inn chennai as well. However, the standards of cleanliness and amenities and the room, the bathroom fittings and floor were low and some areas felt unsanitized as well. The floor in the room also lacked cleanliness. They also had a torn bedsheet on our bed which I asked them to remove and they very quickly and diligently changed it. However, I was disappointed since the finishing checks if the room is in good condition for the next guest needs improvement. The walls lacked lustre. And we paid approximately 62 EUR. Maybe they need to check the standards of other Holiday Inns like in Chennai. Food that we ordered was nice. 10/10 on that. But somehow the brand that Holiday Inn is and that we experienced in Kolkata was a huge mismatch. I hope they look into all this.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel, and I can't thank Mr. Subrata at the front desk enough for his exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable. The whole staff was very professional and attentive, keeping everything well-maintained and running smoothly. My room was immaculate, stylish, and provided a beautiful view, making it feel like a true getaway. The bed was so comfortable that I had some of the best sleep! . The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

I don’t know why I chose to stay here. The place is a saddened one, at a place which is so secluded. Let me start from the beginning. I had booked 2 rooms for my family for transit from kolkata to my onward journey and frankly speaking I should have left the hotel at the reception itself but I had already paid them. They do not have any concierge services. You got to carry your luggage to the room. The reception itself is so dampening that you get irritated. They will take at least 15 mins to check you in. Never explained the facility and the inclusions. Just explained that you need to pay for anything that you use. One of the room upgraded to suit but that was not to be called except for the size. There were no towels in the room. The AC made a lot of noise which disturbed the sleep. The bed was uncomfortable and made noise every time you moved. The people are in efficient. A call for clearance did not heed the ears of people for more than 1 hour. Finally I had to clear plates in the room. The hotel lifts were fully not working and they had placed a board saying renovation in progress. The alleys are dirty with water droplets falling here and there. The interior of the room is again a pain to eyes. The floorings were out and sticky.Breakfast buffet which was included in the plan was worthless and did not meet up the 5 star quality. Hardly any choice. Staff in the breakfast area were least bothered for guest comfort, standing at one corner and busy among themselves. The minibar empty.The one thing they were amazing on calling at 10.30 am for letting you know about you check out time. I seriously feel if it was a 5 star hotel or a lodge. I would request the people to be very cautious in choosing this place. There are better properties around. A place better to avoid.
