The hotel is positioned nearby to the lighthouse and breakwater. It’s a lovely hotel with attentive staff. The hotel has two restaurants, would recommend the hotel on the rooftop.

Excellent, calm and quiet resort to stay. Beach is very nearby. Staff is cooperative, has ayurvedic spa and pool within. ***y people choose this place since it is away from the city limits, for a good relaxation

We chose d'fort as it was the only property close to tangasseri cathedral and convents. The staff was excellent. Willing to help and hear out suggestions. The trainee staff at the restaurant miss. Sunita and mr. Nikhil were always smiling and willing to serve with a smile. The only disappointment was there wasn't much choice for vegetarians. At night we hardly got any choice except for 2 punjabi dishes and some soup. No rice was available at night. Being an ayurveda resort, i was surprised to see that there were more non veg items than vegetarian items. The authentic taste for tapioca was also missing.

The rooms were clean. The bed is not big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids (as suggested by the app), so be warned that bigger kids will need an extra bed to be brought in! breakfast was par for the course, the spice levels in the rooftop restaurant were mentioned as being on the higher side, so we opted to have our other meals outside the hotel (the menu in the ground floor restaurant didn't appeal to us. The hotel has a pool -which was under maintenance, and a decent gym also. The lighthouse is just a quick hop away.

The bathroom sink was broken, there was no lock for the bathroom door, the room was filled with fresh smell of paint which was a annoying
