Wir waren vor einem Jahr bereits zur selben Jahrenszeit im Shuum und haben so einen guten Vergleich. Damals waren wir so begeistert, dass wir direkt vor Ort wieder gebucht haben. Leider müssen wir feststellen, dass sich das Hotel von „außergewöhnlich“ zu „gut“ entwickelt hat. Dazu tragen viele Kleinigkeiten bei: es gibt bei Anreise kein Erfrischungsgetränk mehr, die Pooltasche auf den Zimmern wurde abgeschafft, beim a la carte Essen (deutlich überteuerte Preise) gibt es keinen „Gruß aus der Küche“ mehr, beim Frühstück entfallen unter der Woche die frisch zubereiteten von der Karte zu bestellenden Speisen. Am Wochenende wurde diese Karte massiv zusammen gestrichen. Es gibt nur noch Rührei, veganes Tofuei und Eggs Benedict. Leider scheint man auch am Personal zu sparen, das Housekeeping hat es teilweise nicht geschafft unser Zimmer fertig zu machen und im Treppenhaus von Gästen verursachter Dreck wurde den ganzen Tag nicht beseitigt. Der bewachte Parkplatz direkt am Hotel ist klasse, aber mit ＞ 10 € am Tag auch sehr teuer. Der Wellnessbereich mit Saunen, Whirlpool und Pool ist zum Glück noch immer so schön wie gewohnt und die Lage direkt an der Promenade auch. Wir werden jetzt aber weiter ziehen und andere Hotels ausprobieren.

Insbesondere das Frühstück fand ich hervorragend, besonders gut hat mir die Vielfalt veganer Optionen gefallen.
Der Wellness Bereich ist großzügig und modern, mir war es dort atmosphärisch etwas zu kühl ..

Hervorragende Lage zum Strand (leider ohne Blick aufs Meer): nur 50 m. Sehr gut ausgestattetes Zimmer mit großem Balkon: modern, sehr gutes und geräumiges Bad, gute Betten (nur Bettcouch - als Sofa genutzt - war unbequem). Ruhig. Gute, Hoteleigene Parkmöglichkeit, bewacht. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt: Bad, Zimmer, allgemeine Räume. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und Abendessen (hatten Halbpension). Pool und Sauna gepflegt und sauber. Personal durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit; sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Kurzurlaub im Winter und haben ausgiebig das tolle Wellness Angebot genutzt was inklusive war. Das Essen war auch meistens absolut spitze aber immer lecker. Es wird auf Gesundheit geachtet was heute mehr Wert ist als ausufernde Speisekarten und teure Spezialitäten.
Zum Erholen und in ein gesundes Leben starten perfekt.

We had never been to Kolberg before and had first looked through the Secret Escape offers. Then we compared them with TripAdvisor and decided against it. We then chose the best-rated Shuum Hotel. We travel a lot for both business and pleasure. The Shuum Hotel is really great. If an investor has the courage to build a relatively small hotel right on the beach, then offers a wellness area that I have never seen in a 4-star hotel in Germany (the large swimming pool as an anchor), and has a car park guarded 24 hours a day by a doorman, then they have done a lot right for their guests. The style of the restaurant and everything else is recommendable. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable with a great balcony. Highly recommended.
