This recently renovated hotel certainly looks the part. Big open car park leading into a beautiful lobby area. George greeted us on reception and was an absolute pleasure, showing us to our room. The rooms looked exactly like what was advertised and initially we seen no issues. The restaurant and pool area are also very well kept. It wasn't too busy when we were there but it was right at the start of the main season so may be more difficult to get seats later in the year but we never had an issue getting a table or sun loungers for the entire stay. The food was perfectly fine, large room with plenty of choice, the only downside was that it was mostly the same food each day, some things were different but it was a small downside. The hot plate area where the chef was cooking always had omelettes at breakfast and souvlaki, chips, and bread on evenings for example, possibly could change things up here? We've stayed at other locations where they've had omelettes, pancakes and various other things on mornings. Food for thought. The location of the hotel is in quite a quiet area, too. There is a few things dotted about but you're talking about a 30 minute walk realistically to find any more built-up areas, no doubt the perfect location if you rent a car, especially with the on-site car park. The only real negatives though were the shower and the dogs next door. Admittedly, the hotel can take zero blame for the dogs, but if you're staying to the East of reception, the residential property next door leaves their dogs (at least 5) outside 24 hours per day and they bark throughout the night, I would certainly advise getting earplugs. The other issue was our shower was broken. We noticed at the beginning of the holiday that the shower head was cracked and reported it immediately. It did still work but water sprayed out of the crack meaning the entire floor got soaked, not the biggest of issues but I did slip once which could have been a lot worse and even more so had my pregnant wife slipped. All in all, a very good hotel, especially for the price, possibly with a few teething issues so soon after the renovation. The staff were all pleasant enough and we would recommend it to others.

11pm arrival, given a sandwich, very polite and helpful staff. Air conditioning was great and had a beautiful view on the balcony of the mountains. Room was very clean and tidy. Great stay, lots of food choice! Wifi was absolutely terrible though. Cleaners are lovely aswell! and lots of cute cats

My sister and I have just spent a week here and cannot rate Selini Suites highly enough! On arriving at 11pm we were welcomed by the lovely, smiling George, who checked us in and showed us to our rooms, and took my suitcase for me. The pool bar closes at midnight, wonderful! So we had a most welcome g&t, served by an equally friendly George! Our room was clean with pristine white bedding and towels. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The shower was fantastic! An overhead and a handheld. All the breakfasts, lunches and dinners were delicious with a very good choice of different dishes every day. We didnt eat the snacks offered mornings and afternoons as we were too full but I think these were mainly for incoming guests who had missed mealtimes. The restaurant was spotless. The staff were superb! From Panos the manager and his amazing team, Renna, Ava, Olivia, Katarina, yet another George and a lovely young man whose name I didn't get. They were excellent. I did mention to Panos that the food warmers could be a bit hotter and he thanked me for the feedback and sorted it out immediately. The chefs and kitchen staff we saw were friendly too. The Housekeeping team never stopped cleaning! They would clean our room every day if we wanted them too, but we didn't need it. They just didn't stop! Every staff member was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We loved using the sunbeds, which had tables and umbrellas, around the pool and they weren't crowded together which was very pleasant. On our last night there was live music, a brilliant keyboard player, and a fantastic singer/ guitarist who had the most beautiful, haunting voice. She was fantastic! All in all, a wonderful, really relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings and looked after by some really wonderful people.

Upon arrival, the hotel looked beautiful, we were greeted by George at reception who was lovely at the start but started turning very horrible and ( I don't mean to be rude) useless. He gave us no information about the hotel and the facilities, he had just shown us the room and just handed me a paper, to which the lights were not working, we waited about 15 to 20 minutes for them to be fixed, the WiFi was appalling, Whenever we had a question he was incredibly hostile and for someone that apparently has 15 years experience he had no clue about any of the tourist attractions and was rude when we were trying to figure out what we can do instead of helping us. However apart from that the stay was beautiful, the room was gorgeous with one amazing view, every member of the kitchen was stunning and amazing at what they do especially Olivia who was a star, each member would greet you a friendly hello. Nancy at reception was brilliant and incredibly helpful. Although the pool was freezing, it was beautiful to sit by it and enjoy the sun. All I would suggest is they to find a way to heat the pool because it felt like an ice bath. I can't say I would stay again but it was beautiful.

Firstly the positives, check in very quick and lady took us to the room. The hotel is clean. The rooms are quite basic but they did the job. Kettle provided but no tea, coffee or sugar. Shower head was spraying water out the side, was reported but nothing was done. Waterpark that is part of the hotel was literally 5 min walk. Very clean, food provided at 12pm but wasn't topped up. Don't know if this was because we were out of season and it wasn't very busy. Hot & cold drinks and ice cream all provided. Nice little waterpark with safe areas for little ones and slides for the bigger ones. Beach is a further 5 min walk but is very stoney. Nowhere to get a drink or have a toilet. The food at the hotel wasn't the best. If you didn't get there when it opened then you had little chance of getting it hot. The serving area just didn't seem to keep the food warm. The salad/cold food was fine but not covered at all and flies were on there. There was always chips, spaghetti and pasta but as this is a family hotel, there wasn't much choice for kids. My 2 literally lived on chips for the week. A choice of 3 of 4 desserts and ice cream. The hotel is on a very quite part of the island, there is a bus stop right outside but don't know how frequent they run. We booked through Love Holidays but there wasn't any reviews, I really wish I had come here and read the ones here. No entertainment at the hotel but it was end of season (24th-31st October) so don't know if that's why but nothing to do in the evenings at the hotel.

Spent a few days here recently and it was better than ok. All Inc was a little bit repetitive but acceptable. Room was a good size, clean and beds were really comfortable. Staff were all amazing. All in all pretty good for the price we paid.

The hotel was nice and well-kept, a bit one-sided food and drink, which is what often happens when you take all-inclusive. The kids loved the waterpark witch was placed a little bit away from the hotel. Visited their spa, wellness spa, where I had an facial treatment. The treatment was excellent and the staff very professional. If you visit the hotel I would recommend a treatment there - ask for Maria she was great.

This hotel doesn't deserve some of the poor reviews that it was been given at all. However other customers - 99% German are extremely rude and judging by the manner in which they barge into people, their eyes must be drawn on. Upon arrival we were met by a very nice receptionist who had prepared us a sandwich as it was late at night. He showed us to our room which again was lovely, however lacked basic necessities such as coffee, tea and bottled water. However a fridge and kettle were provide which didn't really make sense to me. Food was excellent, unsure how anyone can complain about it. They even provided the typical beige food for those with kids but again restaurant spoilt by ignorant germans who seem to think queues don't apply to them. Receptionist staff were by far the best, always went above and beyond to help with questions about the local area. Cleaners extremely hardworking and friendly too. Hotel is quite isolated with the only entertainment being on a Sunday - but its definitely worth watching. We laughed for three hours straight. Buses are easy to use and cheap. I recommend Platanius for an evening night out and Chania old town is well worth a day trip and thats approximate one hour away. Buses are reliable and run until 1am. Nearly shops are a rip off. Come out of the hotel, turn right and walk 20mins until you come to the Svepta supermarket which is the only genuine supermarket. Don't bother going to Knossos. It's absolutely diabolical. 4 hours travel each way and literally nothing to see, apart from little cats being mowed down by careless drivers. I'd avoid Heraklion altogether. What spoilt the holiday for me was the snack bar staff. The lady was unbelievably rude, unsure if language barrier or just generally hated her job but I'm going with the latter due to other people saying the same whilst we were there. Music she played round the pool was fair though and the other staff member who ran the pool bar whilst she was off clearly had no concept of what was appropriate music. Playing all the typical English club music loudly with all bad language whilst loads of children were around. The pool area emptied out whilst he was there. Try sko skouteli down the road if you fancy a meal out too. Amazing and so cheap. I enjoyed my holiday but not enough room go back and again the main draw back being the pool bar staff. Let the rest of their team down massively.

We didn't book that hotel in the first place. I made a hotel reservation through the stayforlong website and due to their mistake we were transferred to the Selini suites hotel. The original reservation was for a better quality hotel, that's why 3 points and not 5. Selini suites hotel is an ok hotel, the staff is really friendly. The hotel does not offer any activities for children/youth or guided yoga or body care moments. Karaoke on a few nights for those who like it. The hotel's water park area is nice, and food and drink are also served there. The hotel pool areas are small. There are 3 pools in the hotel area. Allinclusive's food offering was slightly below average for my taste.
