I stayed here for work, but it was a very nice hot spring and I felt like I was on vacation. It would have been even better if coffee was included with breakfast.

The room is clean and the housekeeping staff will bring water to the room when the guests go to have dinner in the evening. The kaiseki dinners for both days were both delicious and exciting. The staff in the department are very kind, and the trainees speak English very well and are proactive. I really appreciate the service of the staff at Jinting Hall, it deserves praise! The hotel lobby has a traditional and beautiful design, with flower arrangements everywhere, just like works of art. The room design is quite old, but the maintenance is pretty good.

The staff was wonderful from check-in, parking, and luggage to advice about the area, the magnificient seasonal bonsai arrangements, and the kamisan's (hotel mistress) care that everything be done perfectly. The meals were kaiseki, delicious and in beautiful dishes. The Onsen was an indoor bath with an outdoor rotenburo looking at the hillside (lovely with snow, I think) with tsutsuji and, lucky timing: rare Katakuri blooming. The Natural waters felt like healing qualities, smooth skin. I hesitated to reserve this hotel because I didn't like the Bed-making in the picture. I felt if it was a little "hands-off". Would the cleaning, etc. also be "hands off?" But there were no problems there, clean, and modern, non-smoking room, even the windows were clean. But I took one star off the rating because the bed was rock-hard. Futon on tatami might be softer...

2024-06-22 [Hayataro Onsen] The room has Wi-Fi, a shower toilet, and an empty refrigerator. It is colorless and transparent. I liked that the meal was not a buffet. One drink was also included.

The food was good. The dining area was a large hall, but the tablecloths and tableware were lovely. The portions were large and the seasoning was strong for a kaiseki meal, but it was very delicious. My husband, who doesn't drink alcohol and eats a lot, seemed to be quite full. The breakfast was salty, but overall it was delicious. I was full. We stayed in a twin room in the villa "Ichika Ichiyo". I was worried that 16.5 square meters would be small, but thanks to the full-length window that leads to the open deck, it felt spacious and we were able to open our suitcases easily. It was much better than the photos on the website. The two bath towels, cute socks and embroidered towels were great points. They even prepared cold water and polished our shoes while we were eating. I would like them to improve the situation where we have to turn off the power to the spare light in order to use the hair dryer in the bathroom, and it would be nice if they could make coffee available. It was the day after a heavy rainfall during the rainy season, and the fast-flowing river in front of us made a loud roaring sound when we left the window open, which was not a murmuring sound. We had planned to go to Senjojiki Cirque, but it had rained so hard that a landslide had caused the road to be closed. Since we had told them it was our birthday, they treated us to a plum drink and a photo, which was carefully bound and became a wonderful keepsake. Thank you very much. Although it is undeniable that the inn is old and somewhat inconvenient, there were fresh flowers displayed throughout the building, the service was good, the furnishings were tasteful, and the service was warm and traditional, creating a nice atmosphere. It may have been because it was not a busy weekday season, but for this price range, it was a quiet, adult inn that provided a high level of satisfaction.

This inn is famous for its delicious food. However, as you can see by repeatedly reading TripAdvisor, where many reviews are honest, perhaps because the head chef has changed, the food is no longer delicious. It was disappointing that there were no particularly delicious dishes. The service was very good, from the manager and almost everyone in general. It is not as good as Senin Onsen Iwanoyu, which is famous for its good service, but it is quite good. As some people have pointed out, the water is too hot, but if you go at 10pm, just before it closes at 11pm, it seems to be at the right temperature. The inn's hot spring temperature management must be wrong. There is also something wrong with the air conditioning management in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep, so I slept with the window open. There were unsightly and suspicious facilities in the building, such as an elevator that was not working. The batteries in the remote control for the toilet in the room seemed to be dead. Would the food have been more satisfying if I had chosen a more expensive plan instead of a more reasonable one?

I've been wanting to stay here for a while and finally got it. All the employees, from the proprietress to the general manager to the waitresses, were incredibly considerate towards the guests, and I was thrilled that inns like this still existed. In the midst of the problem of a shortage of employees in the service industry, I think it takes a lot of effort to provide comfortable services that resonate with customers. The food was varied and delicious, with a focus on local ingredients. I would definitely use it again.

I stayed here with my two puppies. I could barely hear the cries of pets in other rooms, so I felt calm. It was great for the puppies. Located in a quiet area in front of a bridge along the Otagiri River, a few hundred meters up from the Suganodai bus center, the 17-tatami-mat pet-friendly guesthouse was renovated this summer, so it's perfect for trekking around Mt. Houkendake and Senjojiki Cirque. I used it for. The food was reasonable and worth the price. There were a lot of items, but the taste was not good. The space was quiet and the staff were kind and personable. What I would like to see improved is that the rooms and toilets in the building are old-fashioned, so I would like them to be updated.
