The restaurant staff were very welcoming and the space was quite spacious. Although the front desk staff weren't perfectly fluent in English, they made a great effort to explain the check-in process clearly, which was much appreciated. The hotel is less than half an hour from Komatsu Airport, making it ideal for travelers with early morning flights.

I booked a Japanese twin room, but didn't realize it didn't include a bathroom, only a toilet and a small sink. This meant I had to go out of the room to the sink at the end of the corridor to brush my teeth and wash my face, and shower in the public bath within the onsen. So, definitely pay attention to that when booking. Customer service was willing to help resolve issues, but since I arrived at the hotel around 10 PM, the front desk didn't inform me that the public bath closes at midnight, so I had to wait until 5 AM. Aside from the bathroom issue, the hotel's onsen is very large, with both indoor and outdoor areas. It's a great value-for-money onsen hotel.

I stayed here the night before watching a golf tournament. It seems it was renovated about four years ago, and there's a cafe in the lobby. The modern, clean interior gives it a different feel from the traditional, historic inn. I chose the most affordable room, an older Japanese-style room, but it was over 10 tatami mats in size – a luxuriously spacious area, almost too big for one person. The hot springs were also very clean and modern, likely due to the renovations. I would definitely like to stay here again.

My Hokuriku cherry blossom viewing trip included a solo stay at Kitahachi Ryokan in Kuritsu Onsen. I was surrounded by attentive and thoughtful service throughout, with every detail making me feel warm and creating unforgettable memories. The ryokan's service was meticulous and considerate. The staff and driver were friendly and kind throughout, patiently and attentively assisting with check-in and any requests for help, always putting the guests' needs first, making me feel instantly at home. They even provided a free shuttle service, eliminating any transportation worries and saving me a lot of trouble – a truly thoughtful touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a quiet and elegant environment. You could hear birds singing, and the air was so fresh that I could sleep soundly without even turning on the air conditioning. The desserts at the inn were surprisingly sweet and delicious 🍓, and there was a small gift shop where I could buy souvenirs. The onsen water was warm and soothing, leaving me feeling completely relaxed after soaking. The waterfall onsen, in particular, had just the right amount of water pressure, massaging my shoulders and neck and relieving daily stiffness and fatigue. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Kitaba Ryokan for creating such a comfortable and pleasant stay. From service and facilities to food and overall experience, everything was impeccable. This trip was made even more perfect by this ryokan, and I will definitely patronize it again next time I visit. I also sincerely recommend it to all my friends!

Great location, the hot springs are great to soak in, and the hotel is very cozy!
