White Rock of Kos Hotel - Adults Only
4.5/557 Reviews
We stayed at this beautiful hotel for a week at the end of September. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel where ALL of the staff have been so friendly and accommodating. We had a room with a hot tub on the higher floor which was kept immaculate by Liza. She greeted us every morning and we chatted with her, a really lovely lady. Breakfast every day was everything you could want. All breakfast staff were very attentive. The pool and pool bar was kept spotlessly clean. The bar in the foyer was run by Dimitri. He was so friendly, we chatted a lot, he is a very interesting man. I really don’t think I could find any fault with this hotel. We ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and food was lovely. We used the hotel ‘taxi’ service to drop us into Kefalos and collect us and the golf carts around the resort are a godsend. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable. We have booked to return next year already. I would like to mention again that all staff were amazing but exceptional staff were Liza, Dimitri, Yannis, Theodora, Katerina and Jenny. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Well kept grounds, shampoo conditioner body wash and face soap provided in room along with slippers and a robe, hair dryer, ( no iron ) bath towels and beach towels are provided and you can change your towel daily at the towel hut so no need to bring your own. Nespresso coffee machine provided in room so bring your own as they charge for these,Samsung tv in the room has options for screen mirroring and casting but as an iPhone user it didn’t help me much. Pool doesn’t close or get shut off in like some hotels I’ve been to, always seem to have sunbeds l, I have been once before bed and breakfast only and recently returned all inclusive which I would recommend as it’s very expensive to buy drinks or a cab into town is €12 each way and not very cheap to eat out. Jet ski paddle boarding and other various water sports available at the beach at about €50 for 15 mins for the jet ski. Check out is 11am and if you’d like late check out it is charged at €10 an hour, alternatively they will look after your luggage for the day and your able to use a shower room before you leave with fresh towels. Feeding times can be hectic, I personally preferred the food around the pool in the day the staff were more attentive with getting you drinks and clearing your plates and the salads were delicious and fresh. In the evenings there was entertainment and I found the waiter Ernest to be a nice guy very professional and sweet. Best service is in the lobby bar drinks and staff are great.
Kos Divine Hotel & Suites

This was my 3rd time back to Kos and staying at the Divine and it has been first class every time. The hotel itself is modern, spotlessly clean and is located in an ideal area near many restaurants, bars and shops. I stayed in a double room for 14 nights which was very comfortable and had everything you could need such as a fridge, kettle, remotely controlled air conditioning, plenty plug sockets, thick curtains that keep the room dark when the sun is out, a TV and a balcony to sit and relax on. My balcony looked out onto the local football pitch so that was a bonus being able to watch some football. The best thing about the hotel though is the staff. They are friendly, warm and always attend to guests needs with a smile. The bar and restaurant staff are really nice people and they made my stay what it was - great. I highly recommend staying at the Kos Divine Hotel & Suites. I would love to go back but I have been 3 times now and there are other countries and cities I need to visit and experience so don’t think I will be back but who knows…

Mitsis Summer Palace

Had a lovely week relaxing in this beautiful spot. Staff and service are both consistently excellent - special mention to Irene on the reception and Irene on guest services. The room cleaner was polite and lovely; never intrusive. The hotel architecture is stunning and the vibe slick. Views are incredible. We were treated to an upgrade with plunge pool overlooking the sea. Fabulous - although the pool was very cold and took some getting into! Having our own loungers came in handy as there aren’t quite enough by the pools so that was an early start for some guests to grab one. The only thing that is not 5 star here is the food. I can only think from other reviews that we have been spoilt with amazing buffets at previous hotels. But the inclusive drinks menu is endless and the cocktails good - special shout out to the med bar and their espresso martini! The a la carte restaurants are a must so book via the app before you arrive. We hired a car for a day - great way to see the island and try authentic Greek food. All in all a beautiful place; almost 5 star!
Grand Blue Beach Hotel

This is a sprawling village style resort hotel with 3 lovely pools and manicured gardens, spotless throughout and great views. HOWEVER. The food is dire. Breakfast is ok, we had snack lunch down at the Cabana pool, but dinner is a write off. Lukewarm gristle, unidentified grey meats in a congealed sauce, no vege options other than boiled pasta. I mean it’s awful. We tried the a la carte restaurant and walked out- calling stale rolls topped with soggy tomato and unidentified white crumbled cheese as bruschetta is very poor. My friend’s chicken dish was inedible - dry, hard and no taste or seasonings. Do not waste an evening at the hotel for dinner. It’ll be full of regret. BEACH Nothing like the website- do not believe the photos. We travelled with Jet2 and complained and they said that the photos on their website referred to the town beach. But the hotel’s own website depicts a sandy beach- there is a ***** of sand for a few sunbeds, but the sea is inaccessible due to rocks. You can walk 200m along to a sandy beach but can’t sit on the loungers as they belong to the hotel next door. The sea is clear and snorkelling is excellent. We walked about 10mins into Kardamena town and had lovely dinners and wine for about €20 a head. The views at breakfast are particulary stunning- we saw sunrise when going out for a day trip. The main bar with entertainment is undercover and if you smoke, you’ll be fine. If you don’t (we don’t) you’ll have to pull chairs out and sit by the pool otherwise you’ll smell like you’ve been in a pub in the 1980’s. Overall, stay at the hotel for the pools, the views, breakfast and a well laid out, beautiful, scrupulously clean, spacious resort hotel. Go into Kardamena for dinner. Don’t come if you want a beautiful beach that you can lie on- we have uploaded a photo of the hotel beach.
