I love Le Méridien beds, and this stay reminded me why. The bed was spacious, the pillows were generously sized, and the sleep was genuinely delicious. From my experience, Le Méridien consistently delivers some of the best bedding, no matter which city I stay in. I usually book via the Marriott Bonvoy app, but this time I found a better rate on Trip.com.
The location is excellent. It sits right in front of the Filipino Market and is just a short walk to seafood alfresco dining and durian stalls. At night, the surrounding roads come alive with makeshift food stalls and small vendors selling all kinds of local items, giving the area a very local, energetic feel.
A comfortable stay with great sleep and a lively neighbourhood. The reception at checkin was also efficient and welcoming.
Will stay here again.

First off, the executive lounge was an absolute delight – if you're staying here, definitely opt for it. Enjoying a drink there every day around sunset was perfect. The room itself was spacious, though the bathroom had a slight sewer smell, but overall it was quite clean. For me, the bed in the room was too soft and not very comfortable!

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient, with a market right in front. However, the hotel feels a bit dated. The staff are all very enthusiastic and have great attitudes. The view from the top-floor roof bar is also beautiful, and having a drink there in the evening is particularly pleasant.

I stayed for 4 days, but spent the first three battling acute gastroenteritis. I felt like Unit-01 from Evangelion, having to rush to the toilet every three minutes. I suspect it might have been the hotel's canned water, because on my first day, when I was filling the bathtub, I noticed the water was reddish. There are quite a few small restaurants outside the hotel, but I pretty much didn't dare to eat at any of them.

Fast check in & even faster check out. Booked 2 rooms; 7th floor facing sea & saw amazing sun set! Beautiful! Buffet breakfast is the usual fare; very attentive staff to assist. Much appreciated.

The hotel is located by the sea in Kota Kinabalu, right next to the Filipino Market. The facilities are a bit old, but the service was decent. The air conditioning in our booked room wasn't working, but they quickly moved us to a higher floor room. Breakfast was standard, nothing special.
