Pros: Overall clean and tidy, DIY check-in was simple and convenient. Downstairs, there are plenty of good restaurants, including Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, coffee shops, and convenience stores, so there's no need to go to Gaya Street. The rooftop has an amazing gym with fantastic views, and there's an infinity pool on the 7th floor – it was a very pleasant experience. Cons: No washing machine!!! No place to hang clothes to dry by the window. (This clearly led to the wall-mounted clothes rack in the room and the showerhead in the bathroom being noticeably loose and likely to fall off at any moment, probably because previous guests couldn't find anywhere else to hang their clothes.) Things to watch out for: The jetty downstairs from the apartment is Jesselton Point. However, many domestic travel guides and tour operators like Ctrip use DBKK Jetty as their departure point. Although the two jetties are only a few hundred meters apart, it takes over 20 minutes to walk and requires a taxi, which can be very congested during peak hours. We followed a guide online and ended up at the wrong jetty, couldn't find the MK travel agency mentioned in the guide, and had language barriers, only to realize we were at the wrong place. Gaya Street is also more than a 20-minute walk from here, and a taxi costs around 10 MYR. If you mind walking or spending money, it's better to stay near DBKK Jetty.

Cons: Cockroaches… it was just awful… we killed between 3 to 10 of them daily. No cleaning for 6 days, they only brought towels upon request. The host is cutting corners everywhere; there were only three trash bags. Critically few kitchen utensils. Overall, the apartment needs renovation. The plumbing is worn out. Pros: The view from the window, the location, a decent pool. The host offered us a late check-out or to move to another apartment (we still had two days left), but neither option worked for us (we had to leave early and the other apartment was far away).

The room facilities were excellent and spacious! Perfect for a family stay! The hotel's customer service was also very responsive; they replied immediately once an issue with their WeChat support was resolved, which was fantastic! We'd definitely choose to stay here again if we have the chance! We brought our own disposable bedding and toilet seat covers. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

I arrived at the hotel on a red-eye flight in the early hours. Following the self check-in instructions, I went to the mailbox on the 33rd floor to get the key, but the unlock code was incorrect. I contacted the person on WeChat, who was a foreigner. After some communication, they gave me a new code, but it still didn't work. I continued to communicate, and they said they'd send 'a local' over in half an hour. They confirmed the given code couldn't open the lockbox. After reporting the situation, they left, and we continued to wait. My wife, fed up, hit the lockbox, and it actually popped open! It turned out to be an aged mechanical part that wouldn't open, and the second code was indeed correct. After an hour of hassle, we finally checked in around 4 AM, tired and sleepy, starting our Kota Kinabalu trip. Thankfully, the rest of our itinerary was perfect, and we saw the most beautiful rainbow sunset, making this small flaw negligible.

The room was clean and tidy, perfect for a family of four or even five. It's conveniently located, about a 15-minute walk to Gaya Street, and Jesselton Point is just around 5 minutes away.

This accommodation has a very convenient location with many convenience stores and restaurants downstairs. The customer service response was quite fast, and they also offered luggage storage. However, the cleanliness wasn't great; there were slight stains on the comforter. But since we only stayed one night, and for this price, it's considered very high value for money! The view was beautiful because we were on a high floor. The only downside was that the elevators took a while to arrive, probably because it's a large building with all sorts of guests.

The room facilities were just okay and often needed maintenance. There were quite a few small roaches in the kitchen and bathroom 🪳. Downstairs, there's a convenience store, and plenty of restaurants, but they tend to be a bit pricey. The room offered a great view, and getting to the pier was easy.
