Located 30 mins from trivandrum airport is the Taj property. The property is about 20 years old and hence could use some upgrades.....however the warmth of the staff makes up for that ans beyond. Special shout out to Chef Rawat and his team who fed us great food . Serve staff of Gopi, Kaushik, Prakriti and Mani were super attentive at the resturant. Sanal and Jasmine with their smiling faces were always ready to greet us. If traveling with older folks ask for a room with no steps ( there are only 2)... Must try the high tea with the gorgeous sea view

It was great stay at Uday Samudra..........Hotel is well maintained with private beach, and nicely decorated rooms. Staff was courteous and very helping, good work of Mr Praveen for room cleaning and also by supervisor Mrs. Nirmala Mary. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable!!!

Me and my wife stayed at the ‘ Gokuldam Grand ,Turtle on the Beach ‘ Trivandrum in September. It was a stay which will be etched in our memory forever. The staff was very affectionate and responsive to our needs and went out of the way to make us comfortable. The rooms are also excellent comfortable and well furnished. Here I will like to specially mention about Mr Rajesh of the front office, Mr Balu and Ms Veena in the restaurant ( Catamaran) who left no stone unturned in making us feel at home. This in addition to the chef and the rest of the staff who also worked tirelessly to make the guests comfortable All in all a memorable stay 👍👍

Soma Palmshore Resort is situated right on the lighthouse beach and is around 1.5 km from the famed Kovalam beach. Some of the rooms and the cottages have excellent view of the beach. The beach can be accessed by going down the stairs just beside the swimming pool. The property has an outdoor swimming pool at ground level. Had it been on upper levels, it would have provided an excellent view of the beach. The reception area is not very large and lobby is not great either. The rooms are decent with private balconies. The bathroom is also sufficient but the toiletries are not upto the mark. The front office and house keeping staff are cordial, caring and efficient. The biggest letdown is the inhouse restaurant and the food. The restaurant and the kitchen are located at lower level than the rooms. The smell from the kitchen keeps circulating throughout the hotel and one cannot use the common areas inside the hotel because of this smell. The food is below average and very expensive. The restaurant service is slow and the staff are indifferent bordering on rude. The hotel offers free parking but the parking lot is very small, holding 5-6 cars at a time. Overall, not recommended at this price point and is definitely not a 3⭐ property.

There is nothing good to write about the hotel except its location. The quality of room needs huge attention by the ***agement. Dirt is easily visible at various corners of the room. It seems as if no one ever pays attention to cleanliness of the rooms. Coming to the room service, it seems no training is provided to the staff! When ordering food for in-room dining, how can your staff bring the Roti or any Indian breads without it being wrapped in aluminum foil or in any container? They serve it without covering it with anything. I have never seen any hotel serve food like this. Coming to the swimming pool timing. The hotel has the worst timing for its swimming pool. One cannot swim after 6pm and before 11am. They expect people to swim when it is scorching hot. People visit resort for leisure, but they do not allow them because of some weird reasons. How do you expect small children to swim when it is so hot? Very disappointed. I raised the complaint to the front desk, but their response was rude and highly disappointing. Talking of the breakfast, it seems they are doing a favor to their clients by providing such kind of menu which has hardly anything to eat.

Good day everyone! It was my first time visiting India, Kerala, Ideal Ayurvedic Resort. To say that I had an unforgettable experience is an understatement. My 2 week stay at the Ayurvedic resort was simply excellent, from arrival at the airport till departure. The staff, service, food, treatment, ayurvedic massage are all top notch. I examined the local Ayurvedic centers and want to mention that there were centers with a higher level of accomodations, but Ideal Ayurvedic Resort corresponds to the price and quality. After two weeks of treatment, my general condition and mood noticeably improved, excess weight was noticeably gone, my skin condition were restored. I left with the intention of returning to this place again... Thank you for helping me to discover India at its best!!!
