We were looking for a hotel for the night and went to Jess Hotel. The rooms were very average and definitely not worth the price. But what mainly made us decide not to spend the night there, is that they have a monkey in a cage... If you are an animal lover and against animal abuse, do not go to Jess Hotel 👎👎👎

This place could be fin e, but staff are rubbish. They promised us a breakfast at 6.30am, but didn't manage it. A receptionist watched us for 10 mins in breakfast room, without telling us breakfast was at 7am. There was no menu, only one option for dinner. A waitress whose only words seemed to be 'non'. Service and the desire to please ought to be the easiest thing to get right, but in fact was very much lacking.

Chambre à 25000 correcte mais des petits défauts, comme un porte-serviettes non réparé, pas de table de chevet d’un côté du lit etc.. Accueil agréable cependant et petit déjeuner Pas si déplorable que cela...literie propre. Vue agréable et petite terrasse.

Summary:
I've been to 37 countries, many hotels and it was the worst I've ever been to. I even left early for the first time in my life. Never again in Kpalimé. There aren't even taxis.
Premium Room: Quite ok. Reasonably clean but noisy kids around. Probably a school and a sports field. The toilet flush worked only partially. The shower flooded the bathroom a bit. The bad thing was that after cleaning the bathroom was dirtier than before due to the shoes and dirt underneath.
Food: No menu for food and drinks. Ordered lunch and drinks. Asked about the status after an hour and the order was forgotten. Pre-ordered next day. It said 20 minutes. After 30 minutes they said they needed an hour more. Then after 1.5 hours the food arrived in bags. They probably went to a street kitchen and bought it there. I couldn't eat it. It was the worst beef with fufu I have ever seen. Breakfast also a disaster. A few cut up pieces of baguette, butter, two types of jam, tea, coffee, milk. Coffee very bad. For omelette was then even charged extra. If you're lucky, there's also Crossant.
Service/Staff
Usually nice and hard-working, but not reliable and forgetful. Almost nothing was done when we complained.

The hotel is pretentious and poses as kind of luxury one, but the service is appalling. Arriving at 6pm they hadn’t rooms ready, no clue about where keys could be, bed still unmade, no towels in the bathroom, let alone toiletries. They mismatched the rooms so that I got a double bed on the ground floor whereas a couple of ladies one of whom with motility problems got a room with only one bed on the second floor ( no lift)! I asked for a blanket for my bed as I had the AC straight on my face and it took me over one hour and several tours to the reception to finally get one. The room looked shabby and unclean, the shower sprayed in all direction and the toilet flushed with great difficulty. Water was hot, luckily. The wifi worked badly everywhere. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Dinner was poor and breakfast even more so. In the evening there was music from the garden, very loud, till 11 pm.

Hôtel mal entretenu, propreté laisse à désirer. Accueil pas très sympathique, service désagréable. Dans la salle de bain : 1 serviette pour 2, pour l'obtenir Obligé de donner un billet Au moment du paiement refus de paiement en carte visa alors que dans le hall la pub pour règlement en carte est faite. Après un quart d'heure de palabre nous avons pu régler par carte.
