They don’t have a lift or elevator. Be ready to carry your bags or luggage for a short time while going to your room. The staff are helpful. the hotel is nice. Clean and the location is great. The shampoo and bath soap they give is very limited.

The hotel is big. It seems there are 5 buildings with 3 floors each. Breakfast is monotonous. Cleaning is done only upon request, even if you put up a "clean up" sign. The pool is nice and big.

Dated room. Nice swimming pool but no cushions on loungers. Not a good breakfast. Set off a side road at the end of Ao nang.

Where to begin? -The reception: unfriendly and unhelpful. A bitter face will greet you when you arrive and through out the day. The exception is the evening/night person. She was lovely. In essence, she This hotel is where the ‘Thai Smile’ went to Die. ***Please be aware that this hotel has NO elevators and if you have suitcases… you MUST be prepared to carry them up & down the stairs to your room, yourselves. -The rooms: if you like yellowish, dirty walls and virtually NO lighting in the room…well you are in luck! Dark and dingy, you will not want to unpack, as no matter what you choose to wear, you won’t be able to see it. The bed is semi-comfortable, but bundle up as the Jet stream of the air conditioning lands straight ON YOU, while you try to sleep. The furniture in the room was rustic and Bali-ish when it was new in 1979. Oh, if you need the safe to place your passport and valuables…you may have trouble finding it! It is hidden in the closet, where you have to bend down under the lower shelf to find it. That is fine except to use it, you will need a flashlight to try to find a red button hidden under and behind it (don’t even try the instruction) to reset a weirdly wired safe. Don’t despair. It’s not you! I promise you it’s the safe. Expect the room and bathroom to NOT be ‘cleaned’ when you asked them to do so. They will make up your bed. Period. -The Bathroom: Old and dilapidated, this bathroom has been ‘patched up to the max’ and is in urgent need of a renovation. From the tall bathtub /shower where you need to climb up slippery tile steps to get into the old dingy tub which does not drain well and the hand held shower sprays everywhere when in its holder…. With the tiles broken and cemented as a band aid. Never have I been to a hotel where they don’t even offer HAND soap in the bathroom. -Breakfast / dining if you are about to choose the ‘Breakfast Included’ option: DONT! You will do much better at the 7Eleven down the street; there at least they offer real coffee. If you do choose the breakfast option, try not to go first thing in the morning- even if you have a tour booked- as they first serve all the left overs from the previous day’s breakfast. Yes.aside that, expect nothing tasty to eat, unless you enjoy gray colour scrambled eggs. That is because they are still cooking with last year’s used cooking oil. In a four week trip through Thailand, this was the only hotel where they offered very little fruit. The same watermelon and pineapple left overs, every single day. On our last day, they even ran out of fruit! The staff at breakfast, especially the woman running it, will start your day with a sour faced bitter look. Don’t bother asking for anything with a smile. It’s won’t be returned. -The Pool: What can I say about a beach ‘Resort’ hotel that does not open its pool until 11 am (!) ? This is strictly enforced and they don’t even let people sit on the pool area chairs until then! We witnessed hotel guests

This hotel has the potential to be superb, but was, instead, dire. Our first rooms were fairly grim but, with adjoining balconies, my brother and I just enjoyed the location and planned on moving elsewhere. Literally positioned between the noisier beach and the quiet one (both 2' walk from hotel) with a fine pool it could so easily be so much better. The staff were lovely, but so few of them that rooms were not cleaned, ever, until you complained around 4 pm (not what you need after a day on longtail boats). The breakfast was consistently appalling - 'cooked' food that was cold at 7.30, rarely any cutlery to eat it with, fruit (?) normally just sliced watermelon, the coffee either burnt or non-existent. With staff floating around with no kitchen manager to control anything. Plus, far too few tables for size of the hotel unless you are prepared to navigate endless, uneven wooden steps. A combination of events meant we ended up having to stay for a further 6 nights and, goodness, what a disaster! The very lovely receptionist (zilch English, fair enough - I have no Thai, but efficient and endlessly available to offer what help she could - also sadly employed to haul cases and supply rooms) found us 2 combinations of 3 nights in total of 4 rooms (we did confuse people by being 2 people, 2 rooms, all around Thailand, tbh). My first 'new' room was the Honeymoon Suite - I'm very easy to please when travelling, and have seen a fair bit in my 65 years, but that room would justify an immediate annulment without any need for lawyers! Outlook onto a rubbish tip, bathroom with moss-covered glass ceiling that served as a sauna, "jacuzzi" cracked and covered in grime and with broken taps, towels stained and full of holes... and that's just the bathroom! Our last rooms did, instead, make us consider how little it would take to turn this into a great place, and we were sad to leave. But being ripped off, due to emergency, to the tune of €100 per night for those last days in a hotel where not even toilet paper or hand soap were provided or - let's face it - a knife to spread butter on lousy toast in place of breakfast, well, I just hope that someone buys the lovely building with great pool and sacks the 'manager' but doubles the staff.

A review on the good and the bad. We booked a room for 2 people (not a couple) and it had two beds. However, you only get bedding for one bed. They charge you 200baht per night for bedding for the second bed. The bedding we received was stained. When housekeeping comes to clean, they leave the door open so mosquitoes come in. We were constantly being bit by them. Otherwise the rooms were ok. Our tub was huge and I would have had a bath but the cleanliness of the rooms did not have me believing the tub is properly cleaned. There was a little outside sitting area for our room and it was very nice to sit out there. The pool area was nice but there is an algae build up around the pool. The front desk manager plays house base techno type of music non stop and when asked if she would change it, she said everyone likes it. She finally changed it for a bit. But the music really drives you away from the pool area. The staff at the pool bar were very nice. Breakfast is fairly standard. A decent selection. However, it is usually cold because they don’t light the burners until after the food is in them. The burners need to be lit first to warm the water in the basins to keep the food hot but they don’t do it in that order. The tour desk lady is super helpful and speaks good English. The hotel is close to the beach, maybe a 5-10 minute walk. Good location being tucked away a bit but close enough to walk. There is a self serve laundry mat about a 10-15 minute walk away if you prefer to do your own laundry.

Hotel for mass tourists..friendly staff..very average breakfast, preferable to have breakfast outside (lots of choice), little and poorly done cleaning..(request several times) Positive: the swimming pool.. I do not recommend this hotel personally..

Ao nang bay resort. Krabi- large hotel with jungle feel, little 2 story houses, good size rooms and novelty bathroom bath/shower. No good light for shaving or makeup. Bed hard .Not suitable for disabled as quite a lot of steps, although there is a back entrance through car park if you are located that side. Have to climb flight of steps to breakfast room, not enough tables for size of hotel, do have an overflow tables but you then have to climb up and down steps with your breakfast. Reception staff very helpful, as is security man who helped carry all our luggage up flight of stairs. Please note( if you book a triple room it’s for 2 people only, if you wish to use the 3/4th bed you have to pay extra). Enjoyed our stay, nice pool with swim up bar. Not to far from 7/11 plus good laundry service just past 7/11 on corner.
