Boutique Skipass Superior Hotel

*Absolutely gorgeous location with amazing views, right in the town, and a bus stop right out front (buses were very cheap, ~€2 to Ljubljana) *Great that we were allowed to leave our baggage at the hotel after we checked out whilst we went on a September hike (caught a cheap bus to Rateče and walked up to the Three Country Border/Tromeja - highly recommended) *Nice breakfast (menu rather than a buffet), L'Occitane toiletries, Netflix on the TV, coffee pod machine, mini bar in room and room service, blackout blinds on the Velux windows *The listing/website isn't clear and there's no photos but there is a small spa with two saunas, and you can have in-room massages but we didn't have the chance to enjoy those *It didn't bother me but it bothered my partner but there was a random intermittent low hum coming from the air conditioner (even when it was off) that you didn't notice till it was late at night when you were trying to sleep (ear plugs were useful) *We also saw two silverfish on the ceiling by the air conditioner *The man at reception said the hotel bar/restaurant was shut at 3pm so we couldn't buy a drink (but as it was a Sunday, all the shops were shut too) *The restaurant was shut on the Saturday evening as well, not sure why. But there were plenty of restaurants to choose from in Kranjska Gora

We stayed as a family with two toddlers and it was the best hotel experience we’ve had so far. The room was excellent and very clean. We even got a little welcome gift for the kids. The service was impeccable and all staff was incredibly friendly. Breakfast was served as a menu with great options and quality. Sauna and relax area was very nice. Ski slopes, village centre and hiking trails at walking distance (with toddlers). We warmly recommend this hotel.

A wonderful place to stay, really relaxed and personal and impeccably clean and crisp. I stayed with my children (5&8) in room 104 for 3 nights, the room was beautiful and so comfortable with high end linen and bathroom products. The children loved their little toiletries and welcome pack - my daughter spent her time each night completing the activity book provided in the room which was a lovely welcoming touch. We ate at the hotel on our first evening as we’d had a large lunch and only wanted something light, our cheese/meat selection was so tasty and the wine also great quality. Kranjska Gora is a brilliant base for activities, we travelled up the Vrisic Pass and climbed Slemenova Spica, swam at Lake Jasna, travelled into Italy and visited Monte Lussari, Lago del Predil and spent time in the town which although small is very peaceful and chilled. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, breakfast was wonderful and the recommendations for places in Ljubljana were great - we loved our ice creams in Vigo! Absolutely 5 star recommendation from us, we have stayed in many high quality hotels around Europe and although small, this one is up there as a top choice.

We loved our time at this family ran hotel. Their attention to detail was fabulous. The property was immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast was incredible as it was delicious and a work of art. Our every need was accommodated and they went out of their way to make us feel pampered. The location was also a plus. I would definitely stay there again.

a small lovely hotel. our suite was superb and well laid out. the hot water in the shower could be warmer,as its on the luke side. the breakfast is adequte and good. its a good bases from where you can go for hikes and drives

Just had 4 wonderful nights at the Skipass Boutique Hotel with some friends whilst on a cycling holiday. Nina, Anna, and family couldn’t have done enough for us during our stay and provided many wonderful recommendations for things to do and places to eat etc. I cant recommend their hospitality highly enough.

I have never before been looked after so well in a hotel and loved this place. Nina and Ana and family take great care of you and everything is very top quality indeed. Rooms have everything you need, have a superior feel to them and the view is glorious. Breakfast is amazing. Home cooked, as much as you want and served with many smiles and helpful hints. Wine bar and deli was great. Lovely meats, cheeses and tasty local wine. We were on a cycle trip with friends and had some of the best days ever on bikes (road bikes and eMTB). Go here. We stayed in the Skipass Hotel on the final night of our 10-day trek on the Juliana Trail (highly recommended). After trekking more than 80 miles we were spent and looking for comfortable relaxing accommodations. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and the service was very personal. The room itself was very nice, well-appointed, and perfectly comfortable. Our host was very helpful with dinner recommendations, a bit tricky on a Monday in the shoulder season, and set us up with a very nice bottle of wine for us in the evening. The breakfast was equally fine making this overall a really excellent experience. We would certainly come back and very much recommend this hotel.

Nice spacious room, well appointed with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, nice pillows, very clean. Appreciated the complimentary shower gel, shampoo etc. Our room was very quiet, and we got a great nights sleep. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. A good choice for breakfast, the omelette was especially good. Enjoyed the wine and sharing plates from the deli/bar in the evening. Made a great base to stay and explore the area. Easy to walk into town, the bus stop is just outside, and parking is right in front of the hotel. There is lift access to all floors. Access to the lift is between reception and the bar. Late in the evening, reception and the bar are locked until early in the morning, as staff go home. At this time you cannot access the lift, which means there is no lift available overnight. This has been mentioned by other reviews, but it was not an issue for us, as there is a separate access, using your hotel key, to a rear entrance and the stairs, which takes you to the rooms on the two floors above. We had a really nice stay, and would happily stay again.
