Very nice place and clean .rooms is nice , view is spectacular, Great breakfast. Only the way is too far and high on the mountain, but considering as Ski resort , this is acceptable. Free parkibg , helpful staff. Love the place

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I could ask for. The hotel’s location was perfect, close to major attractions yet peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh options every morning. The service was impeccable—every request was met with a smile and efficiency. The attention to detail and the overall atmosphere made my stay truly special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and outstanding hospitality. I can’t wait to come back!

Good Room Good View Good Breakfast I like this

We have been visiting Norefjell Ski & Spa Resort for the past five years, and it has always been a place we looked forward to returning to. Unfortunately, this most recent stay (from 30th March) was by far the worst, and it is clear that standards have declined significantly over the last couple of years. Accommodation & Cleanliness Upon arrival, the issues were immediately apparent: • No shower gel provided • The room was dusty and visibly dirty, which is particularly concerning as we have dust allergies • We were placed in an accessible room without prior notice, with a very small wet room (no proper shower), a washing machine, and no storage such as cabinets or drawers • Kitchen equipment was inadequate (only one bowl provided) • The electric/gas fireplace was not working • The shower curtain was stained and appeared unhygienic • The wardrobe was cluttered with miscellaneous items and furniture The cleaning standards throughout our stay were extremely poor. Rooms appeared to be vacuumed only, with no mopping, leaving dust to accumulate. Despite requesting cleaning on both Thursday and Friday, the room was not serviced at all, and we were not even provided with basic essentials such as toilet paper. Customer Service There were a few standout members of staff who genuinely tried to help: • Ludwig (Sweden) – warm, polite, and welcoming on arrival • Emil Davidsen (Denmark) – exceptionally kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond • Bjoern – showed real dedication, especially when assisting in locating our children • Daniel – did his best despite limited resources We are truly grateful to these individuals. However, the overall service experience was disappointing: • The hotel manager we spoke to on 31st March was abrupt, dismissive, and unapologetic. Concerns about cleanliness and allergies were not taken seriously. • A staff member in the coffee shop (bald gentleman) was consistently rude. After I requested a frappuccino without coffee (due to lack of decaf options), he responded dismissively and served a drink with dairy despite my lactose intolerance, which then had to be corrected. Health & Safety Concerns The gym was frequently occupied by young children (approximately 8–9 years old) using equipment unsupervised, posing a clear safety risk. There appeared to be no staff monitoring this area. A far more serious incident occurred on 3rd April: • The ski lifts were closed early (4:19pm instead of 4:30pm), leaving my children stranded on the slopes • They were unable to return and were left walking in freezing conditions for nearly two hours without signal or means of contact • When we raised the alarm, there appeared to be no emergency protocol in place • Staff on duty were trying their best but clearly had no guidance or training for such situations • Attempts to contact management were unsuccessful; no one responded • I contacted the police, who redirected us back to the resort Eventually, thanks to the initi

Hotel as expected, great location, great food and helpful staff. The main negative - I understand the company needing to host corporate events, however as a holiday maker we felt like unwelcome guests at a wedding reception! The noise and chatter resonated throughout the dining area. We were seated next to the long table of guests and couldn’t hear each other. The food is mainly fish and salads with meats and cheeses. The food is of a very high standard. What a shame our dining experience was blighted by 2 corporate events on consecutive nights. The service is good and the hotel very comfortable. The only advice I can give others is to move seats if you find yourself seated near one of these events. Staff at reception are very helpful. Staff at the ski rental shop and at ski school are very helpful and informative.

Great destination for ski / langlauf trip, combined with beautiful Spa! Also most of the staff was really kind and service minded (with special compliments to Ingvild from the ski shop!) The ski area was really nice, especially for beginners as it was relatively quiet on the pistes. The Spa was wonderful! The pizza bar had really nice food. The appartement was very nice and clean; the bedroom with bunk bed was a bit small but the beds were perfect :) We would definitely recommend and hope to come back some day!

Loved the hotel, apartment, spa, skiing (lessons & shop) and Nom! Everyone is super friendly, and helpful, so thank you for making my holiday very enjoyable! My friend also visited from Oslo for the day with his son as they use the slopes some weekends. He very much liked the hotel, ease of car parking, and the general ambience, so sounds like they’ll be visiting you too in the not to distant future! If I may also commend your admins who answered my questions from my original booking on Booking. Com, even though I moved my booking to Crystal - thank you, you’re all amazing! I will be back!!

Pros; Ideal for young families (5 & 8yr old) who are leaning/novice skiers. Enough variety for intermediate skiers. Ski in ski out location. Excellent ski instructor for kids. Polite & helpful staff. Excellent accommodation room-we had kitchen, washer dryer, dishwasher and large bath in our bedroom. Bring plenty of food from UK to cook/snacks. Separate room with bunk beds for kids. Quieter during February half term compared to Alps - max queuing time 10mins, most times no waiting. Big breakfast buffet selection. Ski hire and lift pass straight forward and all onsite. Nice soft off piste skiing. They cater for an online supermarket food order, As reception to help you. Neg; No on piste apres ski or little restaurants. Only one day per week apres ski at hotel. Not for lads breaks or adventurous looking skiers. Dimly lit everywhere including rooms. Room cleaning only once per week. Must get new towels, toilet paper from reception. Book meals (apart from breakfast) before arrival online or on day of arrival at peak times. £10 a pint (as expected). Most runs on other side of mountain but easy to ski to. Would definitely come again with my young family. Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Booked through Heidi.
