Ascott Kuala Lumpur

This hotel is like ****, expensive and rubbish, very awful experience. Don’t even have extra clean pillows

The location is great, 2 mins walk to KLCC. The apartment is spacious & every room has a bathroom. The furniture & TVs are dated, not smart TVs & not all TVs were in working condition. Love the kitchen for the full sized fridge. We wanted to use the laundry room & the only way was to go down to the lobby to get the tokens to use the machines & go back up to the 22nd floor to the laundry room, probably need change the system for the convenience of the guests. The machines were also very old models. We checked in on the first day & noticed a few small cockroaches in the bathrooms. The staff however were great, very responsive & provided great assistance. Feedbacked to the staff the next day so they offered to change rooms & even offered to refund for the 1st night. We're still waiting for the refund to be processed.

The hotel was centrally located in KL and very close to the Petronas Twin Towers and the shopping mall within it. Room was very spacious with kitchen amenities.

I had a pleasant stay at Ascott Kuala Lumpur. The room was absolutely beautiful with a charming English-inspired design that gave it a cozy and elegant atmosphere. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The hotel lobby was not air-conditioned, so it felt quite warm, especially after coming in from outside. The breakfast buffet was also very basic with limited options. Personally, I don't think it's worth paying extra for the breakfast. One thing I hope the hotel addresses is the bathroom drainage. Water tended to pool on the floor, making it quite slippery and creating a safety hazard. Overall, the room itself was the highlight of my stay, and I enjoyed the elegant ambiance. With a few improvements, the experience would be even better.

All aspects are satisfactory; however, after midnight, a significant number of motorcycles generate considerable noise, disrupting the tranquility of the night and causing multiple instances of abrupt awakening due to the loud sounds.

Had a wonderful stay at Ascott Kuala Lumpur Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff were professional and welcoming. Location is perfect, close to major attractions, shopping malls, and dining options. Facilities like the pool and gym were well maintained. Great choice for business or leisure travelers seeking convenience and quality service in Kuala Lumpur city overall experience.

This was my fourth stay at the Ascott Kuala Lumpur over a span of 15 years, and sadly, it will likely be my last. While the upkeep of the hardware and rooms is reasonable given the property's age, the biggest setback now is the severely lacking quality of service. The issues began right at arrival. Despite checking in at 4:10 PM—well past the standard time—our room was still not ready, and the check-in processing itself was incredibly slow. To make matters worse, we paid for an upgrade only to be assigned to a room on the noisy 3rd floor. Even though higher-floor rooms were clearly available, we had to actively request a room change just to escape the noise. The breakfast administration was equally messy. At check-in, we were told breakfast wasn't included. On the first day, the restaurant mistakenly thought our booking was for 6 people. By the second day, the restaurant claimed we didn't have breakfast included at all, forcing us to dig out and show our booking slips just to eat.It feels like the experienced staff have left, perhaps poached by the newer 5-star hotels that have recently opened nearby. With so many better choices now available, and given how chaotic and messy the KLCC area has become due to heavy tourist crowds, I am unlikely to return to this hotel on my next visit.
