Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur City Centre

The environment is hygienic, the service is warm, and it feels like home. I will choose this hotel next time I come here. It is very close to the Petronas Towers, a standard building in Kuala Lumpur, and is convenient for travel.

The hotel is very close to the Petronas Twin Towers and Central Park, with convenient transportation. It is close to various attractions by rail transit, and the subway station is more than 500 meters away on foot. The breakfast is also good, and there are many dining options nearby.

It's just a collective farm. This is never 5 stars, it barely qualifies for 3. The room smells damp. The bed also seemed damp and still stained. The room itself is more reminiscent of an executive’s office in a Soviet office or a design bureau, if you take into account the lamps, which had a lot of dust on them 🙄 We were looking for a room without carpet on the floor (there were some of those too); instead we got old parquet, which was long overdue for replacement. The bed and mattress are terrible. It feels like you are lying down not on a bed in a 5-star hotel, but on a bed with a cotton mattress in a pioneer camp. And the mattress was sloping somewhere towards the headboard. The ceilings are low + there is an incomprehensible structure in the room - a miracle of engineering! black!. It's a refrigerator, it's a shelf for a TV, it's something else 🤦🏼♀️ The wall in the bathroom is glass, that is, transparent. After China, this is already normal for me. But, damn, it is closed with a curtain 🤦🏼♀️ the glass, apparently, has not been washed for a very long time. The water in the shower does not drain well, so you can wash in ankle-deep water. The shower head is a separate work of art. Like an old Soviet microphone, with a powerful blast somewhere in the chest/navel area. Or, as an alternative, a “tropical” watering can on the ceiling. The door to the bathroom is like a door in a closet. But in the closet it at least closes, but here the door and the wall do not meet and there remains a gap for the hand to pass through. Flushing the toilet - you can't figure it out without half a liter. You need to hold the lever for a long time until the water first fills and then goes away on its own, otherwise there is a risk of leaving behind not the most beautiful picture. There are also no sockets near the bed. In general, there aren’t very many of them in the room. I regretted that I took 2 nights in this hotel and on the first day I began to wait for them to end. Blackout curtains are roller blinds that require a lot of effort to unwind with handles. They themselves are already used and constantly “ride” past the rails; they need to be constantly corrected. There are no bathrobes in the room, although they are advertised. They asked several times, but they never brought them. Well, we also finished off the black slippers 🤦🏼♀️ with a view from the window of the old cemetery, it was quite epic. In general, the only saving grace of the hotel is its location, otherwise there is nothing to do here.
