It's been our favourite place to stay every time we are in kl. Convinence location and the most attraction is the cafe food were superb and the price is suprising. The staff are very warm they even recognise us from the last visit.best..
Excellent and comfortable, very close to the Petronas Towers and KL Tower. Highly recommended, great value for money, definitely worth it, you won't regret it, trust me. The subway station, Merdeka Square, and Pasar Seni (Central Market) are right next door.
The location is great. It is within walking distance to Sogo shopping center, Pertama Complex and Masjid India's shops. The hotel's morning breakfast starts at 7am and ends at 10am. I enjoyed the hotel's breakfast spread during my 3 nights stay there even though the choices aren't that extensive. The hotel room, however modern it looks, is not big and we could hear the people next door. The room's cold floor isn't carpeted and at the corners of the room the floor is not properly swept as there are dusts. In the bathroom, the cleanliness of the standing shower stall is so-so, it should have been given a better scrub on the walls and flooring. Albeit all those, the room air conditioning works fine and is really really cold. Will I be returning again to this hotel? Maybe not, unless I have no other choice at other places.

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is warm and welcoming. When we arrived, the hotel already had lovely Christmas decorations up. I asked the front desk staff if we could have a room with a nice view, and she said 'Of course!' but that the view rooms weren't ready yet. She offered us another room to rest in while we waited, promising to call us once our preferred room was cleaned. About an hour later, she arranged for our new room, and the view was fantastic! We could see both the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Tower. It really exceeded our expectations. Big thanks to the hotel staff!
Beware of noise from main road
Centrally located and convenient to move about even with public transport
I booked room with window.
However, come to night , endless extremely loud motorbike sound ( sound like motorbike show and racing ) even at 4AM. Booked for 2 nights and didn’t sleep on both nights due to the sound.
Will not stay again due to the noise.
We stayed at Silka Maytower in Kuala Lumpur for four nights. The location is definitely a plus—it’s close to many tourist spots, which makes getting around convenient. The service was good, but the overall experience was a bit disappointing. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the breakfast was just average. Also, the rooms don’t look quite like the photos in the promotions; the pictures make them appear much cleaner and more modern than they actually are.
I stayed at Grand Campbell Hotel mainly because of its convenient location near Sogo Kuala Lumpur, which is definitely a plus if you plan to shop or explore the city. However, the experience was quite underwhelming overall.
First, I was disappointed to find cockroaches in the room — a clear sign that cleanliness needs serious improvement. The customer service also lacked warmth; the staff rarely smiled or made guests feel welcome, which really affected the overall impression.
The breakfast was just so-so, nothing memorable or particularly tasty. It’s fine for a quick bite, but don’t expect much variety or quality.
Overall, the location is good, but the hotel really needs to improve on cleanliness, hospitality, and food quality to make the stay worthwhile.
Room was cleaned and well lit. Good location if you are going by the public transport but not great if you are driving. There are only 6 parking in front of the hotel building and you need the other car to move away if you are the first into the parking slot. Nearby parking would at least cost you RM30 near G.S Gill for overnight parking or RM50 for Semua house parking.
All in all, recommended for non-driving stay but not for driving stay.
Overall service was excellent! Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and they cleaned our room every day. This trip was meant to celebrate my wife's birthday and the hotel gave us a complimentary cake and decorated the room with some balloons. Thanks for welcoming us with the gift! There is also a medium-sized gym that opens 24hrs and a rooftop bar that has an unblocked view of the Menara KL Tower!
I stayed here for four weeks. Always a gamble when you book budget accommodation in a foreign country, I can safely say I made an excellent choice!
My stay was enhanced considerably by meeting the night receptionist, Miraz, on my first night. After four weeks we've genuinely become friends. He's super friendly and helpful. Being a night owl (and smoker) I regularly chatted with him nightly and discovered what a decent, likeable and interesting guy he is! He's studying for a Master's and works all night, almost every night of the week, while having to study during the day.
The location of the hotel is superb! Minutes from Merdeka Sq and Chinatown, in Little India, and three minutes walk to the LRT station (Masjid Jamek) you couldn't ask for a better, convenient location—there's also a 7-11 next door!
The hotel is kept thoroughly clean. On entering my room for the first time I was impressed by how clean and spotless it was. The aircon was excellent—within five minutes I was actually cold! The shower was decent (v good water pressure and hot), and I found my room (with window) super quiet. A kettle is provided with free unlimited coffee sachets from reception. The wi-fi is brilliant too.
There is only one downside to this otherwise great hotel: behind it there is a mosque which gives you a 'free' wake-up call every morning at about 6am; and between 10pm until 5.30am EVERY single night (esp. Fri/Sat) the boyracers of KL have found the road the hotel is located on an excellent trackway to ride their motorbikes down continuously for hours, revving and blaring their engines to Kingdom come! Honestly, there must be dozens upon dozens of them disturbing everyone on that road night after night—I've never known anything like this...

MM14135****No slippers or toothbrushes were provided, and I had to call to request them. If you're not proficient in English, you might find it challenging. The showerhead was terrible; the water just trickled out, making it impossible to enjoy a proper shower. On the upside, the view from the window was quite nice.
AalbyblueyRoom was amazing and comfortable however the check in took more than 20 min wait under the hot sun
Perhaps can give instructions on check in prior to the day itself
AAnonymous UserThe staff on duty are very user-friendly, the hotel is strategically located in KL city, the price is reasonable and it is easy to get a vehicle like grab or maxim.
MMinnMinn77I stayed at T Hotel Jalan TAR with my family. The location is very strategic, close to shops and public transport, and the room was surprisingly spacious for a budget hotel — great for families. The price is affordable and worth it if you’re just looking for a place to sleep.
However, the toilet was not clean and had a strong urine smell, which was quite unpleasant.
Overall, it’s okay for a short stay due to the location and price, but cleanliness and facilities definitely need improvement.
