No problem with the hotel itself. Room is smaller than normal Mercure. If you open a mid size luggage, you will have difficulty walking.I have stay at Mercure Shaw Parade for many many times. As an Accor member for more than 14 years until I quit last year and stay at multiple Mercure all over the Asia Europe continent, I can say the Mercure Hotel is up to standard. Two things that need serious improvement. The reception check in counter and the operator need further training as they are well below Mercure standard. Those people who are noise sensitive may requeat floor No.40 as the rooftop live pub makes the whole building vibate/shaking. Friday Night till 240am. Saturday and Sunday still got vibration but less. So people with noise sensitivity please conaider again. Weekdays is ok though Will I stay there again, maybe during weekdays? Maybe.

I had a pleasant stay at Mercure Kuala Lumpur Shaw Parade, which is a great choice for those who want a convenient location near Bukit Bintang and major shopping areas. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the essential amenities provided for a short stay. The hotel also offers nice facilities like a swimming pool and gym, adding extra value to the experience. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. However, the surrounding area can feel a bit busy and slightly less upscale compared to central Bukit Bintang. Overall, it’s a solid mid-range hotel that offers good value for money and easy access to the city’s main attractions.

We booked two Superior Suites with Sofa Beds and while there were some highlights, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. Our first impression wasn't the best, as one of our rooms had a very strong, unpleasant odour. Thankfully, the staff handled it immediately and moved us to a new room without any hassle. One thing to note is the lighting: if you prefer a bright, airy space, you might find the level 3 rooms a bit gloomy. The windows were small and the indoor lighting was quite dim. Interestingly, we visited a relative on the 6th floor whose room had a much bigger window and better natural light, so it seems to vary by floor. On the plus side, the shower was excellent with consistent hot water and great pressure. However, breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The options were quite limited and the quality was just 'okay'. The absolute standout of our stay was the service. The staff are clearly well-trained and genuinely helpful, they went out of their way to assist us whenever we had an issue. Overall, it’s an 'okay' hotel for a short stay. It is likely your best alternative if you have events in the Selayang or Batu Caves area and need to stay nearby.

Check-in process is fast and convenient. Rooms are clean and tidy. Probably it is still a pretty new hotel. Facilities are pretty standard with a pool and restaurant. Except for the room setup. The doors to the toilet and shower opens out into the room with no room for the rug on the floor. So the floor outside of the shower will be slightly wet though it was not too bad. TV channel options were not good. Local channels mostly. Not even Astro or Netflix. Or any cable TV. The window is facing the opposite residential building, very near. So the lack of privacy if you prefer to have the curtains open will be an issue. The area surrounding the hotel lacks commercial shops as it is within industrial area. Will need to get transportation to go to nearby Subang or Shah Alam areas for food or shopping. This hotel is probably more suited to business travellers who are here to attend to business at the surrounding office and industrial buildings.
