We stayed here 2/6 to 2/9/2024. Pros: cute, retro vibe. Like 1960’s movie Hawaii. Older hotel, but clean and well maintained. Beds and linens were comfortable and in good shape. Restaurant on property. Rope hammocks near the water. Laundry facilities. Nice gift shop. Cons: strangely no full length mirror and the one over the sink was high, so I could only see from my chest up. The wild chickens kind of beg for food and DO NOT leave anything unattended out on your lanai. The front desk did not warn us about this. I think they were cute, but you should know. Maybe if you had an upstairs balcony that might not be a problem. The BBQ situation leaves much to be desired. You request a BBQ and they bring a full size one to the front desk. Then the guest must drag it all the way across the parking lot to the farthest corner of the property (actually in the parking lot) You must drag it back to the front desk before dark because the area is not well lit. Their rules. It just seemed like a token effort/hastily added amenity that was not guest friendly.
